So I decided to start jogging. I'm in pretty decent shape, but my cardio seams to suck when I'm not actually competing. For instance, I play Rugby, Football, Wrestle, and Jiu Jitsu. At practices, I am dying pretty much at the get-go. Yet, during a game/skirmish I can play a whole game fine. I guess it's the mindset.

Anyway, to help get in better shape, I've decided to run every week day. The route (In the picture) is about 2035 m, so 2.035 km, and 1.26 miles. A good portion of this is uphill. and the part that seems to be a circle, is a track that is 440 meters. I didn't include this in the '1.26 miles' part. And yes as I improve I plan on extending these runs.

What I'm asking is.. as a 17 year old, about 5'7'' adn 170 pounds, how many calories am I burning doing this? And where can I get the equation to measure as I progress? Thanks a lot if anyone read through this novel to help me.

Running is really bad for you to use as a regular exercise. It does awful stuff to your knees that can bind you to a cane when you get older. Swimming is much healthier if you can do it.

I'm aware, but I'm using proper footwear and practicing proper posture while running so it won't be so bad.

And I wish I could swi still.. But I developed cold uticaria (spelling?) and swimming is the most difficult thing for me to now unfortunately :/

It depends a lot from your speed...
if it's jogging its about 9-10 km/h.
I use often cardio from fitness so i could tell you but not exactly precisely
3 km = 110 kcal with speed 11 km/h
if you are running 2 km with the same speed i guess you would burn ~70kcal
