Hey guys, I have really bad knees for my age (15) and I was wondering if there are any low impact, pretty easy ways to build leg muscles as well as strengthening my knees. Any positive advice would help! Thanks guys!

Squats but with low weights, also deadlifts, although with low weights you will be getting pretty slow progress it's still better then not training legs at all. Stay dedicated.

I have been doing squats. But the constant bending is whats really hurting. I don't know if thats me being a pussy. But that's what is happening.

When you do squats, how low are you going? Contrary to what some people will tell you, you should be going lower than 90 degrees. If you don't, you aren't working your full set of leg muscles and you'll cause an imbalance in tension on your knees, which will aggravate the problem.

Also try and get an exercise in for calves too, a lot of people overlook them.

Probably not lower than 90 degrees.. But the thing that hurts is when im crouched on my knees at work and standing back up. That kills my knees.

Okay, this is a little out of my area, but have you tried biking? Stationary or actual biking should be very low impact on your knees, although the constant rotation may be an entirely different problem. But biking is great way to build some beginning muscle, but it won't get you very far for ledger muscles.

I have tried biking. But the constant bending of my knees completly kills them. I tore my meniscus in both of my knees. And have sprained them both multiple times. I play soccer, and most players have horrible knees. And every exercise my therapist reccomended hurt them even more. Maybe I biked too fast? Im not quite sure.

No, that's a fairly legitimate problem. Biking is a great low-impact exercise for your knees, because there is no actual pounding of your feet hitting the ground, but as you have discovered, it has its own set of problems dealing with the constant stress on the knees in constant motion and straining. Looks like its just not what you're looking for.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
