Hey guys, I've been getting ready for the military for the past year or so with self defense classes, and for the past couple weeks I've started to work out at the gym.

I think I've got the workouts down, and I'm definitely in shape, but I'm not getting the results I want. I'm clueless when it comes to what I should be eating as sources of protein. All I really do is drink a couple scoops of weigh protein shake after a workout. What are good sources of protein if you're trying to build muscle?

Protein supps, chicken, eggs, steak, pork (good cuts), steak mince and cottage cheese are the best bro

I use whey and iso mixes. I'm not a fan of creatine but it won't kill you..

Creatine is awesome bro, been on it for a month and a half now, been stronger than i ever have my whole life. Don't knock it, gives you sightly bigger arms from water retention too, so can't go wrong lol

Water also retains around your stomach that can make you look fat. Kinda counter productive. Not to mention when you stop creating you wont be able to lift as heavy weights.

Protein shake should do quite a bit, but generally meat(chicken recommended) and low-fat diary products should give you plenty of protein
