Alright here's my dilemma: Just graduated high school, in freshman year there was a girl I fell in love with. So I did the usual be friendly, get to know her and whatnot. About halfway through sophomore year I asked her to be my gf, she rejected me. So then I decided whatever and over the summer of my junior year I decided to be a little less extreme and asked her out on a date, again rejected me, like she has every single time I've asked to just hang out. every. single. fucking. time. then she tells me that she doesn't want to date anybody while in high school. well I was hanging out with some friends a few weeks before grad and found out she dated a guy around the end of fall/begin of winter. now that just hurt and pissed me off because now I think she lied to me. So, how do I find out if she lied to me? I know I should try asking her but she could always lie and tell me no.

tl;dr: girl I'm in love with, want to know if she lied to me. also how to quit thinking about her because it's driving me up the freaking wall man!

Alright I'm about to lay a harsh truth on you because I think you need it, and I may sound like a dick at first but just hang in there. She doesn't like you, bro. This shouldve been obvious after the first time she rejected you. She told you she doesn't date in high school because she was just trying to be nice rather than saying she doesn't want to date you. So who cares, she can go fuck herself. It's her loss, trust me. Instead of wasting your time trying to find out if she "lied to you or not", go find the real love of your life, because trust me, she's out there somewhere. And when you do find her, you'll realize how stupid you were for obsessing over this girl. I know it's hard to get over a girl, trust me, I KNOW. But it's just a part of life, and eventually youll move onto the next stage in your life and you'll know true love. Hopefully this helped

Thank you for that. No it didn't hurt because I like people who tell the truth. That's all I ever ask of people, is the truth. I realize she doesn't like me, probably not even as a friend. I just wish she would tell me so this living hell could end. Again, thank you.

Maybe try to keep busy?
As in, do things that'll keep your mind focused.
Like, learn about quantum physics (dah fuq) or something that you really want to learn about. Maybe that can help.
Or when you think of her, think of someone stepping on kittens (that's awful), so that way every time you think of her, you'll realize the memories of her are bad.
Best of luck to you man.

There's no simple way to stop thinking about someone, trust me.. The only way is actually to grow some huge balls and force yourself to stop thinking about her, and stop talking to her, or talk much less at least.. Have you thought that maybe the reason she stopped dating in high-school was that guy that she dated? Maybe he was unfaithful or w/e and she just isn't ready for a new relationship?

I actually haven't talked to her for about a month and a half, she's just on my mind all the damn time. And yes, I have thought of that, but it seems unlikely because if they were together, she seemed like the happiest person ever, plus he's mister popular jock and she's popular little miss smarty pants... Guess it's just my curse. Thanks though
