Ok FJ here's my predicament. I will be going to a conference on wednesday at which I will learn Chinese for 14 days. For these 14 days I'll be living "on my own" by this I mean I won't have my wonderful mother to wake me up. I'm terrible with alarms, but if I don't wake myself up every morning in time to go to my meetings there will be some serious shit to pay... Got any suggestions?

Practice waking up early several days before the conference. Wake up earlier than you would have to for the conference. Your body will quickly learn.

Drinking a lot of water before going to sleep helps out for obvious reasons. Other than that, the most I could say is to set multiple alarms. I usually set a softer alarm 2 hours before I need to get up, a loud one an hour before, and then my watch alarm for the very last second.
