As a few of you might know, tehbestever hosts a server for the friendly board, as well as PT14. He's been hosting it since november.

Well, the time has come for me to host a tekkit server. Me and tehbest decided to make it a joint server. He still hosts the vanilla minecraft one, and I host the tekkit one. The moderators on both servers will be the same. Tehbestever, venomcobra, mrepicly, followinglip (bslsk) and I. If you need one of us for anything, you can contact any of us on either server and we can hop over to the other.

The rules of the vanilla server are listed below:

- No griefing
- No asking for mod/my big black daddy powers
- Don't be a dick
- Don't be autistic
- If you suspect anyone is breaking the rules, please contact a moderator about it. Don't harass the user if you think he is cheating. We will take care of it.


The same rules apply for the tekkit server, however, one added rule for the tekkit server is this:
- If a machine or blocks break of yours due to some sort of machine explosion (Nuclear reactors inclusive), don't ask a mod for your items back. You lost them fair and square. Too bad. We will not refund legimately lost items.


Our moderators are allowed to ban/kick/mute any user that they see fit. Just to inform you.


Now, I just have some basic housekeeping stuff. Just stuff that you may be interested in.



First part is about cracked clients
The vanilla server allows for cracked users to play. Just download a working cracked client for the proper version of minecraft for the vanilla server, and you should be fine to join. You'll have to register a password ingame, which I'll explain later.
The tekkit server allows the same, and you will also have to register a password. However, I have no idea how to get a cracked client for tekkit, and I refuse to waste my time learning how. If you want it, figure it out yourself. Thanks.



The second part, continued off of the first part, is the passwords.

We have a plugin called "authme" which makes you register a password when you first log into the server. You can register a different password on either server, or use the same. Keep in mind that we can see what your password is, so use something that you don't use for anything else (Tehbest has logged into users's fj accounts due to using the same password.
When you first login, the game will tell you to create a server using the command /register password password. Apparently a lot of people have difficulties understanding exactly what that means. So allow me to explain. When it tells you to make a password, you replace "password" in the command with your desired password. So if I want my password to be "carpet" for example, I would type "/register carpet carpet" instead of /register password password. Its to confirm the password so that the system can write your password in. If you forget, we can reset your password on either server. If you have any questions, contact a moderator.


The third thing is protection.

On the vanilla server we have LWC and lockette installed. LWC autoprotects any chest you place down. You can unlock these, or add users to your list on the chest by using the commands. A mod can help you if you need. You can also plop a sign on your chest, and it'll lock it for you.
On the tekkit server, we had issues setting up a chest protection plugin during initial creation, so we will work on installing one at a later date.

These servers are hopefully going to be online 24/7, or as much as we can possibly host it. Keep in mind, we're hosting these on our home connections and home PCs.

We plan on creating and uploading a website, where this information will be laid out in an easier fashion for you guys.

In order to keep our IP addresses a little more private, due to recent events, we're using neat little links, easier to type, easier to remember.
