They also confirmed the ability to transfer Black/White, Black 2/White 2 Pokemon over, but you need a seperate 3DS application. Its a combined transfer and storage system that will allow you to hold onto 3000 pokemon, but they're all deposited on the internet. There is also an annual fee.
User avatar #2077 - Vuumbleman (09/02/2013) [-]

We shall do epic sixth generation battles! The earth shall quake! Fires will make the skies SCREAM! The seas will flush all away! The very power of LIFE AND DEATH will be ours to command! All starting with Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie. Any changes of heart on who you'll pick in the beginning? I'm still aiming for Chespin.
User avatar #2080 to #2079 - froakie (09/04/2013) [-]
you should go with froakie
User avatar #2081 to #2080 - Vuumbleman (09/04/2013) [-]
Nah, I got a buddy doing that.
User avatar #2052 - Vuumbleman (08/24/2013) [-]
So I got a Female Harvest Exeggcute and I'm wondering if I should try one over my Venusaur as an extra Trick Room guy. I like the ability, but I don't like having multiple pokemon with the same type on my team (I bounce between a Magic Bounce Espeon and Xatu). What do you think?
User avatar #2053 to #2052 - creamNscream (08/24/2013) [-]
Stick with magic bounce espeon.

I personally think exaeggutor is absolutely terrible. It has the most weaknesses of any typing and has mediocre stats.

just saiyan
User avatar #2054 to #2053 - Vuumbleman (08/24/2013) [-]
Yeah, I was just looking around at Harvest and was wondering if it was worth testing. Also, I love my Xatu, but part of its problem (based on the way I have it) is that it isn't deal enough damage, I think. Its got Trick Room, Roost, Nightshade, and Foul Play. Foul Play I've messed around with. Instead of Foul Play I've tried U-Turn (its okay), Toxic, and Confuse Ray. My Espeon is currently running with Trick Room, Morning Sun (I know of Wish, but I like Morning Sun more), Shadow Ball, and Psychic. Its hold item is usually the Macho Brace for the speed drop. I haven't used my Espeon since I gave it Morning Sun, so perhaps it'll be a bit better.
User avatar #2055 to #2054 - creamNscream (08/24/2013) [-]
I've personally never liked trick room teams and havent really tested them out so i cant say for sure which would be best.
User avatar #2056 to #2055 - Vuumbleman (08/24/2013) [-]
Well, it'll probably be better than what I had instead of Morning Sun: Signal Beam. It had its moments, but mostly it was redundant coverage and occasional confusion.

Trick Room is all I use at the moment. I have ONE team that I'm trying to master as totally and completely as possible, but I suppose it would be good to make a more traditional team at some point.
User avatar #2057 to #2056 - creamNscream (08/24/2013) [-]
practice isnt bad at all

im willing to battle you on showdown at some point if you want
User avatar #2058 to #2057 - Vuumbleman (08/24/2013) [-]
Perhaps. Oh, hey, are you going to get X or Y?
User avatar #2059 to #2058 - creamNscream (08/24/2013) [-]
yeah at some point, maybe not immediately because im saving to move into my own place
User avatar #2060 to #2059 - Vuumbleman (08/24/2013) [-]
That's a good thing to save for. I don't have any money, but I do have a bunch of games I've got laying around I'm not playing much anymore. I plan on trading them in for Store Credit at Gamestop (or somewhere else if I can get better credit for some DS and Wii games). If I do end up having to get the credit at Gamestop, oh well. I still get Y out of it.

Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie?

I'm going Chespin. Maybe he'll impress me enough to replace my Venusaur with, though I like tossing Sleep Powder before I switch to a Trick Room guy.

chespin, i used to like fennekin, but not so much now
User avatar #2064 to #2063 - Vuumbleman (08/25/2013) [-]
Oh yeah? I'm going with Chespin mostly due to my tradition of always picking the grass starter on my first playthrough of a new Pokemon game.

User avatar #1993 to #1972 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
dont do swords dance and sludge bomb, its practically useless, but swords dance isnt a bad thing if you have time to set it up, go for it.
User avatar #1994 to #1993 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
Oh, I'm certainly not having Sludge Bomb. I'm all trained in HP and Attack. I might have him with the Black Sludge and just wail on guys until Trick Room is about to run out. Then use Sleep Powder on the last turn and either switch out to a Trick Room user or use the opportunity to set up Swords Dance some. Just depends on what I'm up against.
User avatar #1995 to #1994 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
if your going sleep powder get the lens for accuracy
User avatar #1996 to #1995 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
Yeah, making Sleep Powder and Power Whip more accurate isn't a bad thing at all.
User avatar #1997 to #1996 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
not at all, with the combination of swords dance and taking toxic spikes, not bad at all
User avatar #1998 to #1997 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
The question is which move to drop for Swords Dance: Earthquake or Outrage? Outrage lets me have a wide neutral coverage range except for Steel. Earthquake would hit Fire and Steel and Poison-types pretty hard when my Power Whip would not and I'm not locked into it.
User avatar #1999 to #1998 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
depends on the opponent, i personally would rid of outrage because the confusion alongside swords dance is a lethal combo, and its locks you into that move so they can switch onto a steel type and you're dead.
User avatar #2000 to #1999 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
I suppose you're right. Skarmory severely walls me if I go with Earthquake, though. But I guess if I put it to sleep and smack it enough or change to somebody else I'll be fine.
User avatar #2001 to #2000 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
sleep and chance 4x resist to grass, immunity o EQ
User avatar #2002 to #2001 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
I mean, I have a Emboar too, so I should be good on Steel coverage.
User avatar #2003 to #2002 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
any sort of neutral special attacks tend to keep steel at bay
User avatar #2004 to #2003 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
Nope. That's why I went Physical on my Venusaur over Special. His Special Move Pool sucks. I'd have to go to the trouble of getting a Hidden Power right, but that can be frustrating. I'll stick with my four legitimate max IVs in HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Defense Brave 252 HP/Attack EVed Venusaur.
User avatar #2005 to #2004 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
thats a good one to go with
User avatar #2006 to #2005 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
Took months to breed him up to the point where he had the three stats and the randomly maxed fourth stat. I'm proud to have him!
User avatar #2007 to #2006 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
a good addition to any team i assume
User avatar #2008 to #2007 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
Indeed! The only one I'm using that I didn't breed to such an extent was my Magic Bounce Xatu who is completely defensive. He's running Trick Room, Roost, Nightshade, and Foul Play. I debate Foul Play sometimes. Confuse Ray was useful, but then Normal type severely wall me.
User avatar #2009 to #2008 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
true that
User avatar #2010 to #2009 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
I'm also debating his Hold Item. Right now I just gave him a Sitrus Berry. I've also got a 4 Max IV Quiet Magic Bounce Espeon with the Macho Brace (speed cut in half) with Trick Room, Morning Sun, Shadow Ball, and Psychic. I like Xatu a bit more though since its immune to ground.
User avatar #1973 to #1972 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
I personally like the sword one, unless youre talking about any new ones
User avatar #1975 to #1974 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
definitely getting the panda on my team
User avatar #1976 to #1975 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]

If Fairy is weak to poison, then he'll be quite useful.
User avatar #1987 to #1986 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
i think it is
User avatar #1988 to #1987 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
It would make sense and give Poison a leg up competitively. Sure, Steel will likely overshadow it some, especially if Fairy is also weak to Steel like I think it will be. But, hey! Poison can take what it'll get!
User avatar #1989 to #1988 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
poison is highly underrated
User avatar #1990 to #1989 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
Indeed it is. I find having a Poison type on my team helps to deal with Toxic Spikes. Sadly, my Venusaur must be physically based and has no physical poison moves available to it.
User avatar #1991 to #1990 - creamNscream (07/11/2013) [-]
true dat
User avatar #1992 to #1991 - Vuumbleman (07/11/2013) [-]
I'm running mine with Sleep Powder, Earthquake, Outrage, and Power Whip. I have it with the Life Orb, but I debate giving it the Wide Lens for the extra accuracy or Black Sludge just because. I also play around with the idea of tossing Swords Dance in there too. I run Trick Room so not having a high speed isn't always an issue with good ole "Primal." What do you suggest?
