Identify as whatever you want, just don't be an asshole.
If identifying as a Quintuplegender Ikea shelf makes you happy, **** it, do it. Don't be an asshole though if someone refers to you by your physical gender, or doesn't understand, you don't need them to understand. You're you and you're happy; don't make a big deal over nothing.
Live and let live.

you forgot sexual pertinence to objects as well. Rarely identified but much more of a real thing than not, imagine all the weebs with pillows and trash waifus who see girls in person and think "gross they're all 3d and **** ". They are probably sexually attracted to objects not people and just wanna love their 2d waifus

I think that if people need to identify themselves as something out of the norm to be more comfortable in their OWN skin then let them. That being said, as soon as that becomes preachy or that person is just totally seeking attention then their ideals lose a lot of impact with me. I know a good few people who properly struggle with gender identity and, especially at a young age, that can become very stressful and confusing. These people have only ever told me in confidence and have never drawn attention to it unless they take procedures to look more like another gender. That being said, I've met plenty of other people who change their names, sexual identity, gender, etc like every other month to stir conversation about them. They then also have the audacity to scram and yell for people to accept them. These people give individuals with proper struggles a bad rap.
TLR If you identify as something to feel good then you do you. If you show boat that **** , **** off.

Okay OP, here's how I view it all. Some of it may be over-simplified and be a little opinionated, but I think it's a pretty reasonable guideline.
The gender section is definitely the trickiest. I think there's a distinct difference between gender roles and mental gender identification that people don't get. People are thinking "Hey, I'm a girl, but I like blue more than pink. That must mean I have the brain of a male!" because they are confusing stereotypes with actual gender dysphoria. That's what's leading people to believe that it doesn't exist, but there really isn't any doubt scientifically that it does; with even some physical differences in brain configuration among transgenders. I think calling it a mental illness will get rid of doubters and help get medical coverage for the help that they need.
The other confusing bit is people are making up tons of sexual orientations. But the four in the image are the basic ones that cover everything. For example pansexual is just a subset of bisexual, because they can be attracted to males and females. But I'd argue that doesn't matter because it's SEXuality, which means it should depend on the physical sex of the person you are looking at. If gender mattered for sexuality, then there would be 100+ different combinations and terms. Like there would be a specific term for a male who was attracted to females who identify as both a male and female. But that'd just be a subset of somebody who was straight.

To be honest, I'm tired of hearing about all this gender **** . It's your right to act, dress, and love however and whoever you want in anyway that's legal and suits your fancy. But it's also everyone else right to have their own opinion about it even if it opposes yours. That being said, I think A LOT of the words for "Gender" are absolutely ridiculous and repetitive. And that most of the people who use them are attention fags. Disagree? Check this out: abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/02/heres-a-list-of-58-gender-options-for-facebook-users/ The point is, be yourself, but realize that if you call yourself a "two-spirit genderqueer" people are gonna look at you funny. (Again this is just my opinion.)

Wanna know my opinion? Do whatever you want. As long as you don't affect those around you, then it's not my problem or my place to argue.. simple as that. Also words are not meant to be taken literally in all purposes, words can be manipulated through context.

Damn, I knew I should've put this in the original comment.
A boy is a boy. Being a boy means you have a dick.
A girl is a girl. Being a girl means you have a vagina.
If you think otherwise you have a mental disorder.
The treatment for this disorder isn't wearing a dress and embracing your delusions.
Everything else is leftist quackery.

"ok so what is somebody born without a dick or vagina? "
sad
"or what if someone had both?"
the new member of X-Men

what about sex change
born a boy but changed to have a vagina
born a girl but changed to have a dick
born a boy but changed to have a vagina
born a girl but changed to have a dick
yeah but by what you said... born a boy but then lacking a dick would mean they slot into in fact being a girl and a girl having a dick makes her a boy
*grabs a magic wand, taps youre's crotch and makes his junk turn 2 feet long* there youre a horse
what about post-ops that take hormones... they are adding the biological chemicals of the other gender... do they count as that new gender then?
still abnormally being changed to something that wasn't designed for it.
even if it was a miracle of science to perfectly transform a man to a woman
it would still be deemed unnatural and unwanted
Because its still technically a mans body and that's kinda creepy to think

As long as it's not hurting anyone, why bother refuting it? Let people be people or trigendered pyrofoxes
well i mean i have a skeleton. but only my skull is out.
I'm like shadow Demon from Dota 2.

basing things biologically, intersexuals most certainly exist... genetics aren't perfect, and it's actually quite common for humans to be born with ambiguous genitalia, or even incorrect X/Y chromosome patterns.
I ain't defending the ridiculous kinda "special snowflake" made-up gender identities, but to say sex is limited to only "female" and "male" is just as wrong

I don't care what you do. You could throw darts at a wheel to determine your gender everyday and I wouldn't give damn.
What I do get annoyed at is when they expect special snowflake treatment and everyone around them treats them like they **** gold.
I'm going to treat them like a human, with complete apathy to their gender, sex or race and laughing when one of them says I have to call them some ******** pronoun

Gender IS the personal identity. Sex is determined by chromosomes. In fact that's WHY we use the two as different terms.

gender is not a ******* identity, when you cut off a dogs dick or a sew up its ******* vagine it doesn't change to not a male or female, gender describes the sexual social natures of the male and female class. Imagine the greeks and their books of women ******* gods turned to animals, or their love of boys buttholes and even for their wishes to ******* the woods. All you have is a bunch of idiots who want to **** everything like the greeks do and want to call themselves what they want. Gender is not an identity, the whole spectrum thing is a farce, you either like chicks, dicks, both, none, or objects. Get your facts straight you **** .
The only people who are not getting this is America. And they're spreading their cancer around the world like some instragram whore looking for someone to compliment her new socks while if you're actually giving cristicism you're an inconsidered autismo faggot monster

All these wrong opinions of a word with a very clear definition.
Gender -the state of being male or female (typically used with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones).
but since we we're "blessed" with such a culturally rich society we have to deal with **** like this, honestly if a paper says anything about gender its always going to be
the biological meaning, so stop with your spectrum of autism.

Well, IMO, it depends on how it affects your life.
I think it's okay to leave people to their fantasies as long as they're not being rude or pushy about it.
Gender/sexual Identity is an important thing to me because it's something I'm kinda working through right now, but then I see all these people who are complaining and making big deals out of pronouns and such, and it bothers me. I think the main reason to concede to people's identities is to make them feel comfortable, but if they're making others unduly uncomfortable, then they don't deserve it.
Another problem is that some people create it as part of a character, I think. People want to be something else as a form of escape, and even if they don't really know the full extent of what they're getting into, they still push it because they want to be different.
My personal golden rule is that if someone's cool with me and my abnormalities, then I'm cool with them and theirs.
So I think that anything of this nature is justified as long as you're not a dick about it. (Just think of it as a nickname.)
Sorry for the long post.
