Most older not your grandma, but your mother perhaps can use a computer relatively well, are responsible enough to not get into accidents every five days, and busy enough with their working lives that something they can do on a computer in five minutes is better than something that takes fifteen minutes out of their schedules.
Which is why old women are shown using it now, or were, don't know what their current ad line is. Cos it's "for the modern world" and fifteen minutes is "not how it works anymore"

A lot of workout **** and supplements are sold simply because of the male half-dehydrated fishstick of a model on it, ford trucks and motorcycles are sold in the same way.
If it says "tough and macho" men will buy it, just as if it says "attractive" women will buy it. As long as you appeal to the image they WANT to be.
Advertising psychology is pretty ****** up...
