Or you can not silence and impose over someone's freedom of speech?
Unless it's your job to keep the city clean... then, sorry about the hand, m8

This could be classified as setting a trap in a public place in which case it would be illegal.
For your info
Engineering = thing that moves, an engine.
Architecture = thing that do not move, a architect.

Civil engineering deals with infrastructure; buildings, bridges, tunnels, etc.
These things generally are not supposed to be moving

Ok technically yes very small amounts to be flexible because of wind shear, etc. I meant stuff like engines which have many moving parts
In the cranes and stuff ya i guess, civil engineers still mainly deal with structural steel tho which doesnt have engines
actually both do. Architect does the pretty designs for how the building is going to look with the approximate materials to be used, the engineer has to calculate what exact size steel beam and cable to use so the bridge stays standing

That's not true. Thomas Tait was an architect who worked on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The architecture practice Denton Corker Marshall designed the Bolte Bridge in Melbourne. Cox Rayner Architects worked on the Goodwill and Kurilpa Bridges in Brisbane. William Halford & Partners helped to design the Narrows Bridge in Perth. I'm sure there are others, but those are just the ones of which I know.
It likely comes down to whether or not whoever has commissioned the bridge wants an architect and can afford one on top of the engineers.
As for here in the States, swimmingprodigy said that there're always architects on large bridge projects. I don't think that's entirely true, but I have no hands-on experience with bridge projects. (I'm a mechanical engineer. The last time I had anything to do with designing bridges was during my time in school). One bridge that might be an exception that I know of is the Seven Mile Bridge in Florida. It was designed by Figg & Muller Engineers, though I would be surprised if such a firm didn't employ at least a few architects.
Ultimately, architects can be useful, but they're not necessary. If an engineer on the team happens to have a creative streak and some artistic talent (which a surprising number of engineers I know do, despite the stereotype), then the architect can quickly become unnecessary.

Thats very weird. Here in America there's always an architectural firm on a big project, especially a bridge. I know because I'm a civil engineering student
alright if you say so. That's still kind of weird imo but oh well
we just dont want our poor architects to be out of jobs I guess.
>mfw the average architect makes 60% of what the average engineer does for similar work

Architects are like art majors except able to do math. So it's a real job you can respect, but still not as good as an engineer.
Thats why Im studying engineering. But I'm bad at math. Which is why Im in my 4th year and still a lower junior in terms of credits. Gonna take me 6 years to finish my bachelor's smh
Honestly engineers who go to good schools often take 5 years because good universities will load you up with hard classes because they know there isn't a time limit and its more important that you learn everything you need to know, not to mention all the labs you need to do.
Ok that made me feel better because I was under the impression that everyone everywhere else gets their degree in 4 years except at my school where we all seem to be on at least a 4.5 year curriculum. Im already late in the game because I failed statics and mechanics of materials once each and had to retake. Didn't even fail with an F, but my school has a C minimum to pass (idk how common that is but I feel it certainly makes things harder. I got a ******* C- in statics)
What school do you go to? Even UT in Austin doesn't require a C to pass, and UT is one of the best schools in the country.
>best
Maybe for petroleum, and they're falling behind on all engineering fields in favor for more "diversified" liberal arts crap.

maybe I'm just a butthurt tech alumni

Still ranked within top 10 in the nation, in the country with the best engineering colleges in the world. Definitely still doing good, the biomedical engineering department is doing really good right now, and the electrical engineering departments still as good as ever.
Just saying, look at where the expansions and endowments are going.
Yeah I know useless liberal arts majors are wasting money while wasting oxygen. An imrpessive talent, really.
They're the reason for the trillion dollar loan debt restricting our economic growth and all the bernout supporters. Glad I'm done with that and working now. Even though Tech is pretty conservative, you'd still get hints of the crap
I doubt youve heard of it; the Grove School of Engineering at the City College of New York
Hrm, well the name is unfamiliar to me. Either way best of luck finishing up the degree.
Thanks. I'm not too worried about it anyway, even if the engineering thing doesnt work out I'll always have money. I've gotten into daytrading penny stocks recently and the money racks up really really quick. I've made 850 bucks in the past 2 days and that was only risking very little amounts (2000-2500 dollars per trade). I can only do 3 trades per week though because of a stupid law. Once I get 25k in my account I'm past the limit for that stupid law that limits the amount of trades i can do and then I can afford to start risking 5k+ per trade and trading multiple times every day. I'll easily be making 500+ bucks per day.

You would think that 1.6 billion Muslims who want nothing more that to destroy western civilization would have, you know, destroyed western civilization by now.
Solution. Don't take down the poster asshat. The razorblades ar ea punishment for attempting to restrict freedom of speech.
well chances area no posters of any kind are allowed on private or public property with out the city's consent. some pensioned city worker is probably paid **** to clean up everything and wether he likes islam or not he's the one getting hurt

-Fastens tin foil hat real quick.
For some reason this whole thing just seems like ******** to me. This seems like a false flag to make Muslims appear more persecuted than they actually are, much in the same way that feminists like Briana Wu faked death threats to make Gamergate look like a hate movement.

I am sure that there are many people who would curb stomp a Muslim if they could get away with it and I fully agree that there is a strong anti Muslim presence in Europe. But for whatever reason, this specific thing is setting off my ******** radar. I put on my metaphorical tin foil hat because I know that I don't have any substantial reasons to believe this is fake, but I still do.
hey, if we live in a world where people put anthrax in envelopes, razorblades on stickers doesn't surprise me
Well... what type of idiot would try and tear something down from top to bottom? It obviously starts at the side
When leaders of multiple nations deliberately fail to secure their nations sovereignty what we have is a global conspiracy with a centralized architecture. CFR

I saw the middle image many years ago. Someone likely necroed it recently because of the refugee situation is my guess. If you do a reverse image search and narrow down the date range, you see a lot of results in 2012 with the Islam text and then more from like 2007 and 2005 on Russian sites without any added text. Nothing to do with the most recent swarms of refugees.
The stickers also say "keine chance" meaning "no chance" in German. I see no other text on there at all linking it to Islam in any way.
Now to keep you straight, I do hate Islam, but let's avoid jumping off the deep end without fact checking.
