roll20.net/ is where people gather for online tabletop games and you can find parties
I only just got the starter set for e5 and we were ambushed pretty quickly by 4 goblins. We killed three instantly, and our mage used presdigitation to create an illusion of the last one's father, and interrogated him with it.
alright so in my current campaign I'm playing as a teifling bard and am currently trapped aboard an elven space ship that is hovering over the main planet my party is elsewhere now I have a pretty awesome plan to get off the ship and I thought you might like to hear it.
so i am currently going to the ships prison my plan so to convince the other prisoners that I am a world famous masseuse in doing so I'll offer free massages then when I have one on a bed I'll send the others to the other end of the cell. now that I have a prisoner on the bed I will cast sleep on the guy I'm massaging then get on top of him. I will then cast heat metal on the ship using a 3rd level spell slot which will cause 3d8 damage. Now heat metal this is normally used during combat so the spells says I can deal that damage every round the creatures are touching the metal for 1 minute now given that they are standing on the metal they should get a disadvantage on movement which should stop anyone from getting to me until i can kill them especially given that this will cause a surprise round. now considering all this I should be able to kill the majority of the army on the ship which and for a safe measure I will cast is again killing anyone renaming on the ship so what do you think. I'm open for suggestions

>Now that he has his army, I have him roll again (can't remember what I had him roll for, been too long) to see how well his army would work out.

>PC somehow lives, guards walk away not noticing him
>rest of party sometime later notices a fire a general panic to start stirring
>look outside and notice a gigantic zombie horde The Lich was powerful enough to remotely raise dead from X miles away. The city was in range of this.
>Party fights their way out of the city, but only 2 (plus the half elf, who escaped before this all started) survive
