don't try to justify bad things from the past because they are part of your culture, if it makes you happy just celebrate what you want
as long as it doesn't involve actually harming anyone in the present it doesn't matter if it was based on the murder and rape of 4000 children by aristocrats 800 years ago, as long as you make it something positive then just have fun

So normally I don't like commenting, but yeah Native Americans had slaves and stuff and many were warlike cultures. However, the Cherokee nation, which helped the US in the revolution and the war of 1812 were utterly ****** over by jackson in the trail of tears because the US wanted their land. This was really really ****** up. But also I don't understand the whole palestine thing. Like Palestinians weren't happy with a 2 state solution and then when they lost their land in the 5 day war (that the other arab countries started) they claim innocence? inb4 idf

Holy **** people have no idea what the native americans were like. They fought with each other. They'll killed each other. They raided each other.
They were also wasteful as **** . They didn't do that whole 'conserve every part of the animal' until they were starving after the white man kicked their ass. They did it for the same reason people in the Great Depression didn't waste food.
