Sith have powerful ways to sustain themselves, Vader was kept alive through his suit and the force held him togeather, even though he should of been burnt to charred crisp. I can't remember their name but another sith lord survived as just a head, stormtroopers don't have any connection to the force.
User avatar #43 to #33 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
clones have no connection to the force, as they are clones, however storm troopers are normal people. he could totally have some small connection to the force.

I thought Force was a link that connected all the things in the universe
Yoda: "
Life creates it, makes it grow. It's energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we."
"You must feel the Force around you. Here, between you,me, the tree, the rock, everywhere. Yes, even between this land and that ship."
It's a ******** lore to me, like the movie trope of being hit on the head and developing psychic powers and ability to see ghosts. But did the clones by the virtue of being clones got exempt from the Force? Did someone excommunicate them from the Church of the Force?
User avatar #68 to #63 - MikedelScorcho (12/26/2015) [-]
The clones could not have been Force-sensative because they were cloned from Jango Fett, who, to our knowledge, had no such power, therefore his clones had the same metaclorian (sp?) count as him, making them disconnected from the Force.
#74 to #68 - internetnick (12/26/2015) [-]
Maybe he was force sensitive but never went out of his way to learn it. I might have been a natural at Chemistry, but I never took it.
User avatar #65 to #63 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
I mean, that's true to some extent, but it's moreso that clones are not attuned to the force, by nature, as they are not naturally living creatures. I can't remember the exact explaination but it's essentially the difference between tin and nickle. Tin isn't magnetic but nickle is.
User avatar #67 to #65 - vampired (12/26/2015) [-]
so... different types of magnetism?
User avatar #70 to #67 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
planets have a magnetic field but you don't see nickle instantly getting yanked towards the north pole. just a tiny bit when they're in compasi.

ya dig?
User avatar #154 to #63 - congthea (12/26/2015) [-]
Clones do not have a connection to the force as they are artificially created, instead of naturally created. All things originated through the force, however clones are one step removed, they have no force connection.
It's the same reason why Sidious' clones deteriorated from the influence of the dark side so quickly.
User avatar #54 to #43 - creamgravy ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
Connection the force still doesn't mean it could of sustained them, jedi and sith go through years of training and even then only master can sustain their life force, or else we would see every jedi and sith living for hundreds of years, instead only people like the emperor and yoda can sustain themselves that long.
User avatar #55 to #54 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
all jedi have elongated lives unless they die from combat, and are heavily resistant to poisons and disease.

it's literally one of the basic force powers.
User avatar #56 to #55 - creamgravy ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
Elongated life span is different from being able to take a hit, Anakin Skywalker, got all of his limbs cut off then got charred in lava, still survived (albeit with help from his suit.) Then take someone like kit fisto, he was a powerful jedi but died from 1 slash to the stomach.
User avatar #57 to #56 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
To be entirely, completely fair, a slash to the stomach would kill ninety percent of the people in the EU (which is no longer canon when dealing with materials past the empire). Vader was not sustained in the lava flow by his own powers. the emperor protected him.
User avatar #59 to #57 - creamgravy ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
Thats fair i guess, but still, alot of jedi masters would die from a similar shot the chest, and while TR-8R had stormtrooper armor on, those things don't really provide and actual defense, considering most of them die from 1 shot to chest from a small pistol, i doubt he could of survived 1 to the chest from chewbaccas crossbow, even if he did know how to sustain himself with the force.
User avatar #60 to #59 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
First order is a more advanced version of the original storm trooper armor, which actually disperses energy bursts across the plastoid surface and lessens the damage. only e11 blasters and han solo's custom piece were enough to cause lethal damage, usually (that's why they had an easy time blowing the rebbies the **** out during the first scene in e4).
User avatar #78 to #60 - creamgravy ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
Is that why they got 1 shot by reys pistol?
User avatar #80 to #78 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
it essentially turns lethal rounds into stun rounds, bruv
User avatar #81 to #80 - creamgravy ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
I suppose, but Chewy's crossbow is still ridiculously strong, it essentialy shoots blaster bolts that explode.
User avatar #82 to #81 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
nah son. the wookie bowcaster just has a further range than the standard blaster rifle.

In 1 scene of the movie Han fires it within 15 feet of a bunch of storm troopers and it knocks them all down.
User avatar #84 to #83 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
I know the scene you're talking about, during the same fight with tr8-or correct?

I'm probably going to be taking off again soon to see the film for the third time, but if I recall correctly, he shot one of them dead center and he fell into the other two

Just looked up the movie on putlocker, Han shoots the gun about 15 feet infront of them and they go flying about 7 feet up and back.
User avatar #93 to #92 - dndxplain ONLINE (12/26/2015) [-]
well, like I said the thing's essentially a sniper rifle and shotgun combined (it legitimately has a spread fire feature). if you get hit with a shotgun slug at point blank, even with the best bullet proof vest ever, you will go flying

Just watch as they drop the whole Captain Phasma taking the Boba Fett role in the new movies and this lone Stormtrooper, never gets named but you know it's him as he has slowly progressing damage on his armor pop in every movie just to kick Finn's ass and then get blasted by Chewbacca or something.

Z6 riot control baton, also known simply as the Z6 baton, was type of baton used by First Order riot control stormtroopers to shock or pummel an opponent. It was also capable of resisting the plasma blade of a lightsaber. Stormtroopers normally used it in conjunction with a betaplast riot shield, and the weapon itself was capable of being spun around by its handle.
