Still, Fire Emblem was the last series that deserved another rep, in my opinion. A second ballot character (or hell, a returning veteran) would've made this DLC thing more climactic.

I really like fire emblem so i'm kinda blind to most of the reasons behind all the hate but Corrin is looks unique and seems fun to play, plus japan loves fire emblem so they are catering to their home audience not to mention it's awesome they even did DLC in the first place, so i feel most of the complaints are kinda undeserved. Also people freak out over 6 FE characters but 8 mario characters is just fine.

Mario is arguably the most well known video game character of all time. Wario and Yoshi even have their own spinoff game series. Fire Emblem characters aren't nearly as iconic as Mario, let alone Legend of Zelda, and don't account for a fraction of their sales.

The main reason the internet peeps are freaking out is because Sakurai had stated in a previous interview that any new added characters would be ''fanservice from here on out''.

Also, catering to Japan is not a good thing, it means that the rest of the world is being ignored. Awakening was the game that saved Fire Emblem from becoming irrelevant. It was that close to dying.

But yeah, Corrin does look unique. I would be in his favour if say, one or two other FE reps were taken out for other characters.

Well i mean Cloud was for the West and Bayonetta was the most requested in Europe so there was a little slice of fan service pie for everyone. In the end of the day I got my favorite character in so it's hard for me to be mad, they could announce Steve and i'd only be a little peeved. I could also do with out so many Pokemon reps instead but in the end its all personal preference. I just hope people don't start to hate the series because of their representation in smash.

Anything from Origins or Legends, preferably Legends because the music in that game is ******* amazing (maybe one of the Bit. Trip themed stages like Castle Rock or Gloo Gloo)

I'd also like a Rhythm Heaven, Bit. Trip, Ouendan, and Mario Party stage.

Or another Fire Emblem character with a sword.

I like how they finally made him different from Marth, but his old playstyle was just so much better.
Although now his Up B can kill, so I guess that's one good change. I do like how Smash 4 made Up Bs actually lethal so now I can use Dr Mario/DK/Roy's up B and actually expect to kill something.

Well the guy that makes the music for dark souls does a lot of nintendo game music especially rpgs like tales of symphonia 1 and 2 and lloyd got put in as a costume so who knows, but definitely not now since the roster is completely full :^).
