It just says "40 degree"

So i can assume Fahrenheit if i prefer.
It would be jacket weather.
User avatar #27 to #16 - thebenders ONLINE (12/20/2015) [-]
dude as a fellow American you are being a real idiot, clearly this is in Australia and because of that you should be able to assume 40 degrees means Celsius
#28 to #27 - Glitched (12/20/2015) [-]
So you think Belize is America?
You're living in American Belize?
Belize is not America

We use Fahrenheit.
User avatar #30 to #28 - thebenders ONLINE (12/20/2015) [-]
not once did you say you live in Belize, and because of this I assumed you lived in the U.S. you know he country everyone else in the world automatically assumes you're from when you say Fahrenheit , and i know you use Fahrenheit but you still don't have to be a dick about it because right now that's exactly what you're being
#32 to #30 - Glitched (12/20/2015) [-]
So everyone not from USA using Fahrenheit must be from Russia,
Largest land mass that uses metric.
Or China.....largest population that uses metric.

I see....drawing conclusions and assuming facts is now factual information.

I assume you should get back to your McDouble and large fries fatty.
You are from America after all.
I assumed and drew a conclusion that since Americans are fat you must be too.
So it is a factual statement because assumption = fact.

and just so you know how wrong you are, when someone says celsius I don't automatically go to Russia or some other ******** , i wait for them to tell me where they are from or i ask, but since the U.S. is 1 of 3 countries that uses Fahrenheit, it is usually safe to assume they are American because generally the other 2 countries are either not very well know or nobody cares about them enough to even consider them in the equation. And again since you didn't say you were form Belize it was a pretty safe bet that you would be American considering it has the largest population by far so the chances were in my favor

there are more than enough hints in the video for anyone with an IQ larger than my shoe size to realize the title is referring to celsius. it's sunny outside, the driver is almost naked, meaning it's hot outside. he's giving out beverages... since it's hot outside. the steering wheel is on the right side and the dudes talking have an australian accent, meaning they are from australia, you know, the country that uses celsius. and not to mention that if it were 40 degrees fahrenheit, then the weather conditions would be near freezing, meaning they'd have no reason to drive around half naked and giving out cold beverages. your assumption is beyond autistic and you know it. you're just too much of a cuntbag to admit it

#54 to #34 - Glitched (12/20/2015) [-]
Read the whole thing, then you can apologize

Although realize is now regarded by many in the U.K. and Australasia as the American spelling, it is not an Americanism. In fact, the -ize spelling variant is older than –ise—realize predates the United States and Canada by nearly two centuries—and has been the preferred spelling throughout most of the word’s history in English. If we can believe the ngram below, which graphs the use of realize and realise in British books and journals published between 1800 and 2000, realise had a brief ascendancy in British English from the late 19th century through the early 20th, but realize was preferred before around 1875 and is again preferred today—perhaps because of the influence of dictionaries like Oxford, Cambridge, and Collins, which encourage -ize over -ise.

User avatar #66 - deadlyfoez (12/20/2015) [-]
If you are doing an act of kindness, but feel the need to video record it and put it up on the internet then you aren't doing the act to actually be kind but instead to feel great about yourself. I applaud the gesture but I from upon the recording.
#130 to #66 - edgecutter ONLINE (12/21/2015) [-]
Right, look at it like this.
Who cares if you brag about a good deed? Good deed's still a good deed, mate. Bragging or no.

Frankly, doing a good deed just to make yourself feel better is a lot more desirable than the alternative. Plus, it doesn't hurt anyone, on the contrary even.
User avatar #173 to #130 - deadlyfoez (12/21/2015) [-]
Ok, look at it like this.
If you have to tell people you are a nice guy, then you probably really aren't or you are trying too hard. A nice person gets noticed without them trying to point it out. We have all heard one variation or another about a person saying that they are a "nice guy".

So the way I see it, is if you have to record it and put it on the internet so everyone can see what good deed you are doing then you must either be really self absorbed and all about how great you are for doing such a thing, or you are trying to prove to other people that you actually can do good things even though everyone else thinks you're an asshole.

No matter what, wrong reason for deciding to do the good act. The act wasn't just to be helpful.

It's much like the christians that must publicly push their beliefs on others, or vegans that feel the need to tell everyone.

IDK, this video just rubs me the wrong way.
#243 to #173 - edgecutter ONLINE (12/21/2015) [-]
What you say may be true, but my point is that there is no point in bitching about it.

It literally does the opposite of hurting others to be a good person for self satisfaction.
Expecting everyone to be bloody saints for the sake of others is unrealistic. If more people decided to be good for the sake of self satisfaction, then we've already come a long bloody way, mate.

In the end, he DID help those people out, even if he bragged about it. It's a step up from doing nothing.

To boot, the "helping everyone out from the shadows and never mentioning it" is over-romanticized. It may seem cool and saint-like from a story-writers' perspective, but in reality, you'll just get trampled over if you don't exclaim you're bein' a good person.

The bragging doesn't even have to be with full on bells 'n whistles either.
You can just bring it up here and there by mentioning when it's relevant like "Oh, yeah, I talked a guy out of suicide once." or "It's bloody hot isn't it? Went out of me way to give the road worker boys some drinks".

Also
"...you must either be really self absorbed..."
Watch for the overgeneralizations, mate. This is what makes the fedora neckbeards who they are. Not saying you're one, but you're well on your way to being one if you keep up the overgeneralizations.
