My parents were disappointed with me all my life growing up, and beat down my self esteem whenever it came up.
I moved out, and I work independently.
For a long time they questioned my game dev and animation career choices.
So I made high-end animations for the college as 'projects', and all of the professionals in school can stop raving about it.
My parents have stopped calling me a disappointment ever since.

I did that too mostly, though I visit monthly to see my little brother.
My dad was nice enough to pay for my health insurance while I was out,
so I kinda owe it to him for saving me a government fine.

Kind of funny, the only reason I talk to my dad is because of my little brother as well. And even then it's not that often because being stationed across the country doesn't allow that much time home, I still smile inside knowing that the "disappointment" he raised is doing better than him.

If anything, my dad taught me a valuable lesson through his actions...
Date a woman for as long as you can before marrying, be wary of the signs, and watch out for dominant behavior. His first wife was my mom, and she wound up kidnapping me for 10 years before the police finally got me back. His second wife was a posessive control freak that mistreated the family, and he only asked us to do chores only to avoid angering her.
Now that he's divorced again, life has gotten better for him and he's no longer an
asshole to me, but now he's in his mid 40's... and a large chunk of his life was wasted simply because he went for the wrong people. Of course, if these events hadn't transpired I wouldn't exist... but it's not necessarily a good thing that I exist due to poor relationship choices.

Sounds like my mom, never happy with anything. I told her I wanted to become an actor, she laughed at me and said just become a cop, I then tell her like a month ago that I will study to be a nurse, she laughs and says just become a cop, it's easier. Never had any support from her.
I would have a higher chance of moving out of Canada and to like Denmark or Switzerland as a nurse.
Her boyfriend's son is a STM cop. STM is the Montreal Transport Society, so like if anything happens in the subway or the bus, they call the STM police instead of the ordinary cop. I wanted to get into the RCMP before and then to the ERT but ever since I was told that they could relocate me anywhere in Canada I said **** that. Wanted to become an actor because I was told that I should try it out since I look like Matt Damon and there aren't enough Russian speaking bad and good guys in movies. Since I joined the Canadian Forces reserve, I wanted to become a nurse to help people and then eventually move out to Denmark or Switzerland.
Haha oh man,i remember this one girl i used to have a crush on,she said yes to me and we did a 69 man, anyways she was known to steal phones from other girls and then her mom found out and told her not to go out anymore, too bad she drank bleach because she thought it was liquid pepsi and died, good times man...Welp time to go look up bleach porn.

What so the mom is disappointed to have him as a son because he ASKED if he can throw a party? I mean, unless hookers and cocaine are a must at every party in that area I really don't see the problem here. I know this is fake, but still pisses me off, what kind of a cunt would call her son a disappointment for asking her if he can throw a party?

my mom is dissapoited because i dont have the social life required for one
Bro, what the **** . He ain't even being a **** here, he just asked a simple ******* question. All he did was ask if he can throw a ******* party, not become a terrorist. Plus, if he's never asked that before, she'd hopefully know that her son was not honestly asking this.
Unless this was meant in jest.
**** , now I have no ******* clue.
