He clearly didn't do too much research, They found MOLTEN PUDDLES of steel, not bent steel beams.

The collapse released massive amount of energy. Potentially it could have released enough thermal energy to push the already heated steel to melt.

300 degrees hotter though is a pretty huge ******* difference. Jet fuel burns at 1500 degrees it cant transfer all of that temperature to metal as well
