Every tank and vehicle that gets blown up just reminds me more and more why I do not want to be mechanized.
C-RAM, Counter Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar* (corrected) at night
Explain
Same system as a CWIS on a ship. Put enough lead in the sky it'll knock out the incoming projectile hopefully

buttlumps (12/16/2015) [-] I love how it gets hit and then it just turns around like "You've done ****** up now!"
Someone explain to me how a non-goverment funded Group can have access to Tanks? Seriously. Where the **** would radical extremists get some tanks? Are they just left laying arround? Were they sold? Who the **** would sell a tank? Can the be stolen? Why the **** would you have tanks capable of being stolen?

midgetslayer ONLINE (12/16/2015) [-] not technically AA fire, that's a CIWS on what looks like mortar duty.
It makes me sad to say that I think the guys in the Abrams died. In the full video they eventually get surrounded and they start shooting ak47s into the driver portholes. Although I could be wrong, if so please feel free to correct me.
I remember seeing the video on live leak and there was a platoon of tanks but there were only molotovs thrown at the specific one and another RPG. Could you link the one you're talking about? It might be an extended version or we might be mistaked about something

Kinda hard to tell just what happened due to the quality and the fact that the vid is an ISIS propaganda video, but I doubt the driver was killed by the shooting at the periscopes as they are, well, periscopes and possibly hardened/bullet resistant.
This was supposedly from a M1A1, not sure where on the tank, but all periscopes follow the same principle.
Granted it's not impossible they got a mobility kill and then shot them when they tried to evacuate, but the vid didn't show any abandoned tanks so eh, hard to say.
