thempc ONLINE (12/09/2015) [-] this is what i imaging purgatory to be like. riding on an unimaginably slow train/cart on a seemingly infinite loop of track in a blank, grassy field. but in purgatory, the center would always seem to get closer and closer and never reached. the only way it would stop was when it was time for you to go to heaven or hell, the cart would derail, and you would appear in heaven or hell

doctorprofessornv ONLINE (12/09/2015) [-] Well if you're in purgatory then then you would eventually go to heaven. The point of purgatory is to punish people that aren't evil enough for hell, but weren't quite good enough to get into heaven right away. Purgatory is a place to evaluate your life choices and realize the sins you committed. Only when you come to a complete understanding and repent for your wrongdoings are you ready for heaven. Or that's how the story goes anyways.
