but he is right. we have done everything that we can, with government aid and police and trying to teach them and affirmative action (that's the race thing with hiring, right?)
They only abuse the financial help they receive, accuse racism on the officers trying to police them and then blame society for their lot in life when they do nothing to improve it.
If we leave them alone then maybe they will finally realize it is them and not us. Maybe they will fianlly try to improve themselves instead of waiting for it to happen all of a sudden. Just maybe this guy is right

Oh boy, you bought everything they've been screaming since Reagan.
We haven't had a Congress interested in actually trying to do most Constitutionally granted "general welfare" programs since the 60's. We haven't "done everything", we've had honest people start programs only to be starved and mismanaged by political partisans trying to make it not work so they could come back later and go "Look everyone, it's not working, let's cut it off".
But guess what never happens? When we give big corporations tax breaks, give the wealthy tax breaks, dismantle "regulations that inhibit growth", and all different shades of what has essentially been trickle down, and when it doesn't work over and over, we never get any advocates in Congress looking to sabotage or filibuster or repeal those programs.
It's not an accident.

Our society has come to a point where a white person is almost not allowed to do a damn thing without being labeled something negatively, not just racist. Who's to blame? I don't really think he takes into account the social reasons that people sell drugs, rob people, etc. It's not just something they do for fun, they do it because they need money, hence why they complain about economic conditions. It's a lot to explain, but if you ever want to read a good book, then pick up Code of the Street by Elijah Anderson. It's a study done about low income black neighborhoods and why they do what they do. It would probably help destroy the hive mentality that funnyjunk sees to have.

If I can't perform my duty properly, then I am failing as a servant of the crown. I would not give a free pass to a black person wholly for the sake of safeguarding my career. If I was put under scrutiny for my actions I would know myself I performed as an officer correctly and appropriately, which would be deemed correct by a panel of my colleagues. If not, then I have chosen the wrong profession. Being afraid to exercise my legal right would only be detrimental, as people would quickly catch on they're getting a free pass.
