pentol (10/30/2015) [-] The concept is cool, but for every second you spend figuring out the puzzle, you spend 10 on executing the solution, which is not challenging in itself, only tedious. it would be SLIGHTLY less tedious if you had the option of moving Doom-fast.
Also, the puzzles here are very much alike. in fact, 80% of them are essentially the same puzzle. Looking at portal and antichamber, both introduce new mechanics every few puzzles. This video actually does not want me to play the game, because it will get old quickly. if a full version hits steam, i'm certain it will be a prime subject for the 2 hour refund policy, unless the rest of the game has far higher quality, and that's not very likely.

Personally i'm hoping they're keeping the content in the video here to showcase what exactly you can do in the game without spoiling too many of the mechanics that will be used later. I know i was a little suspicious at the sight of the polygon logo but personally i'm really hopeful for an antichamber 2.

with the exeption of DX:HR, i can't think of a single game where the promotional material reflected less of the mechanics and features than the game does.
Portal 2 again as an example, even had dedicated videoes with cave johnson explaining the core of the new mechanics before release. The more hooks you throw out into the water, the more bites you are gonna get.
if they only throw out one hook, it stands to reason that they either have no idea how to market, or they only have one hook to begin with. Either way, my impression is that it isn't more than a quickly expended novelty.
combine that with the low amount of challenge the video is presenting (which i admit is likely to not be representative of the game) and lots of tedium, and this is a game i won't even consider pirating.

"it stands to reason that they either have no idea how to market" you forget, it IS an indie game
either way i'm kinda in the same boat as you, i'm just being hopeful because i like the concept.

that or they just have a neat concept that looks interesting.
Now it just needs physics-based damage, so you can smash giant objects through walls and have to ride objects you're holding so falling doesn't kill you.
I remember when I was a kid and I was amazed by everything the video game industry did. Every time graphics would update, every time some new mechanic would be released, or anytime something "big" happened in the industry, I would get excited. Now I have gotten used to it all. Yeah I still wanna get games and all that **** , but they never caught my wonder like they used to. This is the first game I have seen in a very long time that had me going "Ooooh, that's so freaking cool," every 5 seconds.
this needs to be on steam so it can be on my massive wishlist of things ill never remember to check up on to actually play
Yes! I've been waiting for this game to come out ever since I saw some tech demo's related to it.
