there is seriously nothing wrong with the new teen titans, the people who bitch and moan about how its not the same, are the same people who grew up with the old titans, i know because i used to be the same, but then i realized, **** its not made for me, its made for my little brother who enjoys the show
sure it has its **** terrible random moments but thats what kids like these days i blame iCarly
and im glad they didn't make a new season, sure it wouldeve been nice to see something other than a cliffhanger but its done, its over, and your gonna have to get over it, quit living in goddamn denial and just accept that cartoons nowadays are **** because the new generation is ****

I think it's a bad show and I pretty much never watched the original. It's not particularly bad, but it's definitely not good. The animation falls far below CN's current standards (though this isn't that big a problem). The jokes don't work a lot of the time. The writing ranges from bland to just plain dumb (see Boys vs Girls) The characters are pretty bad for a variety of reasons (to name a few, they're annoying, unfunny and clichéd). Considering all these factors, you'd think I would deeply loathe this show, but honestly there's been and there will be worse. Still not something I'd recommend at all though.
What most of the Teen Titans fanbase is pissed about seems to be that there was no reason to make this a TT parody. Seeing how much they've changed the characters, It would've made much more sense to make this an original series. Even worse, when they actually tried to satirise the old series they seem to have done a terrible job at it.

He's completely right. The show is catering to the new Cartoon Network, which, as far as I can tell, is mostly young children, ranging from 5-14. For the most part, something like the original Teen Titans would be lost on that crowd, especially when something like Regular Show or ****** Uncle Grandpa is so popular. Now, that's not to say that dont have deeper stuff; Gay Space Rocks seems to be pretty complex. However, the new Teen Titans fills the niche of dumb humor pretty well, and is relatively fun to veg out and relax to. As such, no, it is not a bad show. There is nothing wrong with it, as a standalone show. As a follow-up series, it's ******* awful, but as it's own separate concept, it's just fine.
I thumbed you up because you can actually use the meme properly.

Definitely an unpopular opinion...
The issues above in the video were all pretty accurate: Their humor is awful, the animation is awful, their acting and voice quality... is awful, especially when compared to the old one. Not only that, but the fact that it can be compared to the old one is the biggest flaw it has. If they didn't want it compared to the old one, they shouldn't have copied it.
They have plenty of material and resources to create their own unique show with new characters, one that they could reference to the Teen Titans as it being in their world but with new characters, so they could have cameos to set up for Teen Titan jokes if they wanted. But they didn't do that.
They copied the Teen Titan's theme and character models in order to create a "comedy" show that has awful jokes and most of them aren't really related to the Teen Titans real personalities. The creators of Go! were just grabbing onto the coat tails Teen Titans originally left behind in order to grab the audience attention; they didn't believe in their own strength to make a good show on their own that people would actually watch.
Now the show has a couple people watching and people who never saw the original Teen Titans, such as kids, so they're able to keep going on with that... and they acknowledged the older Teen Titans was way better and that it was bad it ended so suddenly. But in the end, the new "Teen Titans Go!" is awful, and it's very dumb to say it's compared to much to the old one.
It's a parody that doesn't really parody the characters. It's just a show trying to grab at the coat tails of something famous. Sort of like how Sonic Boom grabbed onto Sonic's coat tails, but none of their characters act how they originally were supposed to.
Like Eggman being a crybaby. He whines a lot, but he doesn't cry! Geez.
Meh, just don't say things like "People compare it too much to the old one." It was a hyped "Sequel", so of course they do.

And people argue that Teen Titans Go! is funny. And they have some funny moments in both shows to a lot of people, but...
Is it funny because it's Sonic, or just in general? Like, the one scene that pops in my head for that show is the "Eggman is a bad roomate" thing, and Sonic ranting about how he's a bad roommate. It's a joke that has been used quite often and still is pretty funny.
But... Why would Eggman ever want to be roommates with Sonic? His nemesis? The one thing he hates more than anything? It's that kind of thing that makes it less of a parody / actual Sonic show and more of just a grasp at people making jokes while using someone else's characters for attention.
Sonic Boom does do it better than Teen Titan's, though. If only because they chose a show / set of characters that no one really cares about, so they get more fans because no one is upset their older series is being made fun of. I mean, I don't even know what most people thought of Sonic X, but I can't say I've seen anyone rant about how Sonic Boom is ruining Sonic X.
Saying the new character designs are horrible, yeah, but nothing about Sonic X.
So, I dunno. They can both be funny, but I don't think either of them are funny in the context of the characters they're presenting. They're just grabbing for attention, and Go! had worse writers for it.
Also, why didn't Shadow get a cloth around his neck, but Sonic did in Sonic Boom? Is it racist? I dunno.

The thing is, is that it is a good kids show. It's dull/bland humor with bright flashie colors that capture the children into watching it. Even though there are way better kid shows out there, like gravity falls and Stevens universe. TT GO is one that will last for a little.
In the end DC is going to pick the show that is making the most money, right now that is TT GO. TT GO is low budget animation and stuff, plus the toys are being bought.
We can look at it this way, just because it is a good kids show, doesn't mean it is a good show, but you can have both. Like Teen Titans was a good show and kids show, but something like Power Puff Girls, which I find is a bad show, is a really good kids show.
BTW. It was mostly the first couple seasons that were bad for PPG, but got better in later seasons, mostly because their audience were growing up. so they need to keep their attention.

Having something as a "good kid's show" is not something that should be cared about when talking about stuff like this. A large number of "kid shows" are aimed with the idea that adults and teenagers will watch it too. There are too many things in those shows that are hidden for them, or heavy things that a kid wouldn't really get. A majority of kids are just interested in flashing lights and laughter, after all.
I doubt Teen Titans Go! is making them that much money, it's probably just enough to keep the show going and a bit extra to make it worth it. But again, as I said before, there are people who are watching it that never saw the original Teen Titans and that's what keeps it afloat for the most part. The jokes overall are kind of bad, but they're enough to make a couple teens and kids chuckle. Probably some adults too, but I heavily doubt that many are without a child to watch with them.
For your remark on Teen Titans and Power Puff Girls, I have to say that Power Puff Girls did the Kids show right. It's flashy, has plenty of good jokes, and I'd say it was one of my favorites to watch back in the day. But unlike Steven Universe and Gravity Falls, there wasn't really much "heavy stuff" that kids would miss in that show. There was lots of stuff they could relate to, such as the episode about "cooties" or whatever, and nothing super, super serious really happened outside movies.
On the other hand, a majority of Teen Titans was serious, with just small jokes between those parts and... well, Go! kind of insults that by being 0% serious. Not only that, but unlike the original Teen Titans and Power Puff Girls, the characters don't really change in a serious manner, from what I can tell. It's just joke after joke, and they don't really appeal to anything. Not to mention the writers don't really respect the universe of the original Teen Titans, such as having Terra back using her powers.
So, overall, it's a "decent" Kid's show because it's something they can watch. But it's not really a good one, nor is the idea of it being one or not even a factor when comparing it to the original Teen Titans.
As for your last remark towards Power Puff, that's completely your opinion. All shows start off rather slow, in my opinion, in order to set up things and I find that most of the Power Puff Girl episodes were pretty good for something that was made so long ago. But that's merely a matter of preference and I know not everyone has to enjoy the show.

Would love for the original Teen Titans to come back! it was so awesome. And for DC to fix the Nightwing/Dick Grayson turning into a spyral agent crap they did in the current comics. And for Young Justice to return, but more like the 1st season before it got too weird.
One can hope!

...I may or may not have started singing when the original theme song came on.
It almost brings a tear to my eye every time I see the old one
and then they continue the 6 season with the old quality animation. Part of the show part of the crew
what is it with dc and trying to strawcharacter their fans to justify bad use of characters....

Loved the original show. **** was a highlight of my day. Only real complaint was they called Deathstroke Slade. Yeah, his real name. But still.
Yeah, Slade being the robot army controlling super villain annoyed the **** out of me, it literally put me off the show.

what follows is entirely my opinion.
The original teen titans tv series is criminally overrated.
TTG is criminally underrated.
Everything wrong with TTG (which is a lot) is present in the original. The trope ridden, 1 dimensional characters of TTG were all present in the original. You say about character development, but all i see are cliches. The only real difference between the two is that the original took itself seriously, that it tried too hard. Its an anime, but its justice league for kids. It relates to teenagers, but horseshoes in as many bad sitcom jokes as it can.
TTG is stupid, asinine and childish. But it isn't trying to be anything different. It doesn't try to be dark and edgy one second, then cute and colourful the next. one second its trying to be an anime, then its a more justice league tv series. TTG pokes fun at itself all the time, the original took itself far too seriously.
Ok ladies and gentlemen, with that subjective opinion stated, please feel free to put on the rose tinted glasses and down thumb me to show me how incorrect i am.
