Props for doing their research enough to include the end of the Trigon arc. That part was awesome.
That's what's so baffling about this: They've clearly watched Teen Titans before and do their homework on the backstories of these characters, in order to completely run them into the ground. It's so diabolical it's almost admirable.

Imagine if teen titans go was actually planned to be all control freak's fault from the beginning, making it an overly long set-up like the endless eight episodes of melancholy of haruhi suzumiya.
What if...
What if it's a call for help
What if someone is being forced to do this
What if he's desperately trying to get this show cancelled but whatever he does he's just making more and more popular?
Like that episode of Rocko's modern life where the son of the Schnitt-heads had that super popular show but he didn't want to work on it anymore, but he couldn't get out of the contract and tried to make it ******** and ******** to get it cancelled, but the ******** he made it the more people loved it

This show just became that friend that used to be cool as **** and a true bro but has now become a huge douchebag. and this is him acknowledging it just so you know he's given up on the person that used to be your friend.
They know that we want the old show back. They just wont ******* give it to us.

I think the whole thing is really hypocritical of CN, the reason for the org. TT being cancelled was fear that toys wouldn't be bought because CN realized that TT had a big female audience and the idea was that little girls don't buy superhero toys, even if they love the show. (Looking over how stupid that was, considering the high toy sales and viewers....)
Now they're trying to produce TTG so that fans of the old show can hate-watch? I mean sure, that may work for views, but what about toy sales? (the very thing that cancelled the first one) Adults aren't going to buy toys of a TV show they hate. Hell I own all the FUNKO TT figurines but I'd never buy these ugly cartoon things.

Personally, I like GO. WAIT! Put down the pitchforks. Let me explain first. Then, by all means, feel free to call me a fag.
I like it partially because I watch cartoons when I need some mindless entertainment and it's currently one of the few shows on the market that aren't leaking life lessons and feels out the ass. Mostly, however, I love the fact that it exists. Why? Because it's the one show that managed to truly harness the power of rage. The 90s kids finally grew up and realized how ******* stupid they were acting, so now they've been replaced by the 2000s kids, who grew up watching stuff like Teen Titans and would shank you like a prison bitch for saying it was anything other than the magnum opus of cartoons. You poke a bit of fun of something they grew up with and they just explode. This show is driven by those explosions, like the pistons of an engine. If it weren't for the hate, no one would know anything about it, since it's pretty unremarkable and a bit niche, because it requires you to have watched the original and read quite a few comics in order to get all the jokes. It is by no means aimed at little kids. It's aimed PRECISELY at the fans of the original. And if it weren't so hated, I doubt it would have ran for a whole season, let alone gotten a second one. But it's still going. Why? Because the internet keeps raging about it, which makes more people watch it, to see if it's really that bad, so they watch it and it's pretty meh, but they were already predisposed to the idea that it'll make them rage, so they rage and post about in on the internet, which makes more people watch it, to see if it's really that bad. And the cycle never slows down, because in the eye of the ********* lies the fiery core of hatred, made up of those 2000s kids, which keeps emitting pure rage at a fairly consistent rate, keeping the cycle going. It's like a thermonuclear reaction of butthurt.
It did what MLP and Steven Universe couldn't - created something that's fueled entirely by hatred. Those shows have fans that genuinely love them. GO, on the other hand is universally hated by everyone except for idiots like me and people who just don't give a **** . Its' only source of power is anger. And it's the closest humanity has come to perpetual motion. I can't help but respect anything that manages to achieve that. I mean, stop for a moment and think. Would you have ever seen this video if it hadn't pissed someone off? Would this be on the frontpage with over 100 comments if it didn't make people rage? You are playing a part in the reaction as we speak and probably didn't even stop to think about it until now. If that **** ain't fascinating, I don't know what is.
Someone should really make a paper or some **** on the show.

I don't get it? If they understand that the previous show was better, then why not just revive it and be done with it?
Modern audiences prefer less dark more comedy, it wouldn't go great.

"Why don't they bring back the old show"
you guys are aware the network ******* CANCELLED the show right?
It wasn't their choice to not continue writing the original.
The network said look, if you wanna do a show this is how it has to be or we aren't airing it. And **** man they gotta eat plus they all probably like working together.
You guys are acting as if the writers are in charge of what goes on the network.
I swear you guys are ******* retarded.
Also unpopular opinion, as a kid's comedy show, the show is not that bad.

In mid-November 2005, TitansTower.com reported that prospects for a sixth season were looking extremely unlikely, and fans were urged to express their support for the show to Cartoon Network. Several days after this initial posting, word came that Cartoon Network had officially terminated the show

If you read Teen Titans, the one we are talking about, under the wiki article you linked it says 5 seasons about the 5 characters and it ended on beast boy.
Also you just linked me something that is mostly about the comic books and it's asking is the show is cancelled.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teen_Titans_ (TV_series) meant to link this, sorry
Also, so what, it doesn't say they "ran out of material" I still don't see any proof that that was the reason the show ended. There are plenty of TT comics to pull from and with the cliff hanger it seems like they really wanted to do another season. Do you have any actual evidence that that is why the show ended?

You assumed that''s what they wanted to do, you have no evidence that they were just done, other than "well I think that's what happened" and it may not be concrete evidence but according to a lot of sources it was cancelled, including this one who is about someone who contacted someone from the show.
All I'm saying is the signs point a lot more towards cancelled then ended.

Fair point, but can you give me an actual source for your argument? Anything at all? I just think signs point to cancelled. And obviously neither of us have concrete evidence but I think you're jumping to conclusions.
Neither of us have any proof because they didn't put anything official out. I'm just saying it makes sense for them to end it after doing what they set out to do.
How about we agree to disagree? It might of gotten cancelled, the might of wrapped it up. But I think we can both fully agree that is was a ******* amazing show and for what ever reason it shouldn't of ended.

Alright. Sounds good. And yeah, I really ******* miss it.
**** , I don't know why the link doesn't work but it is to the tv artical not the comic book
I know, but I keep linking the full tv series and it doesn't link the back half of it. Weird.
Neither of those links prove the show was cancelled. Is just people saying "They probably won't make a 6th season", it doesn't say why. There is no official answer why the show was stopped but most people believe and it does make sense, 5 characters, 5 seasons, 5 backstories.
Funny thing is that the punchline to this joke is at the end of the game where his hair turns white. I'm not defending the game, i'm just saying that fans of the series overreacted to such a small detail.
All said though, Teen Titans Go is one of the shows that I would actually let kids watch nowadays. That and the Gumball show
when i was a kid i use to read the teen titan comic books
i read them all
sooooooooo i can ruin it for you by telling you how IT OFFICIALLY ENDS
mostly because im a dick
ok lets start with
ROBIN- dies then is replaced with a new robin
STARFIRE- leaves back to her own world saddened after robins death
RAVEN- justice league looks at her and says HELL NO so she does not get to join
BEASTBOY- his adoptive parents THE DOOM PATROL die also he gets asked to join the justice league but says no so he runs away with raven
CYBORG - says **** you guys i wanna join the justice league and basically abandons his friends
so there thats what happens .... no real happy ending enjoy
