I'll probably be drowned in reds, but isn't it quite ironic how RT - who claims to be neutral and independent - posts something like this which is blatantly propaganda to fuel patriotism, make Russians proud of their military and to strike fear into their enemies?
And its working too. Just look at all the replies. People who live next to them are afraid, Americans think they are badass and want to cooperate with them in Syria - and some people say they feel patriotic. Beautiful piece of propaganda.

RT has been full of propaganda ever since the crisis in the Ukraine started, I really liked reading them before those events as the news were often without bias and very up to date. The site went pretty downhill in the last 2 years imho.

mhm, I really struggle finding news which have no bias nowadays. Watched CNN a bit the last days, and was a bit disappointed. They have high production value, but sometimes they are clearly biased. Especially regarding the European migrant crisis. I guess BBC is one of the best nowadays.
You could try Al Jazeera, I haven't been reading them for a while now (forgot about them somehow) but they were pretty good a year or so ago.
Music is from Red Alert 3.
Video is, well... coverage for the V-day parade, held on the day 3rd Reich surrendered, to commemorate the great, but astronomically costly victory. That day is important to Russians, like fourth of July is to Americans.
Now you tell me, how is this propaganda different from all those war movies which just scream America, **** yeah! Top Gun? American sniper? Same **** , different form, imo. At least these parades happen once per year, and we get to see nice equipment too.
And no reds for you.

Well, if RT hasn't made the video and edited it, then my point isn't valid is it? I assumed it since their logo was on it that they had edited it, and added the music.
I'm not saying its any different at all, but do American sniper and other American movies claim to be independent and neutral? No, not as far as I have seen. However, RT does - and that was the reason why I was, in lack of a better word, surprised to see their logo on the clip. But as you explained to me, it has a perfectly natural explanation. Thank you.

Nah, the video was made by some random punk on the internet. He just cut off bits of parade footage (1h length), and added fictional soviet soundtrack.
Kinda like that other video featuring Kirov airships (also from Red Alert series) with Russian tricolor instead of soviet hammer&sickle flying over Crimea, with the same soundtrack. Movie grade animation, got deleted from yt for some reason. Hope this cleared stuff a bit.
Peace out.

really hate to be that guy, but what has the world come to when (even I) think this is cool, yet its a pathetic I've-got-a-bigger-dick parade that heralds back to Cold War politics and is actually provocative and meaningless in the context of nuclear weapons

That's all quite fascinating at all, but one thing bugs me: what's with all the Hammer-and-Sickle emblems everywhere? I thought they abolished it as an official symbol since the USSR collapsed…
Can someone explain? I'm genuinely curious.

You will one day receive title of "saviour of fj"... If it doesnt exist then admin pls create it
so, question. is the reason the people in the columns on the outside are looking straight ahead instead of odd to the side because they keep everyone else walking straight and in formation?
