The most interesting thing is the evolution of the opening mechanisms.
Some designs had pieces of metal that would fall inside the can and - with some bad luck - be ingested when drinking from it. That was very dangerous considering the sharp edges

I remember cutting myself with those pull out tabs back then, sometimes it would get stuck or break
Classic cars used that 2 fold seam thing, thats why they has the 'rails' along the roves
