For the record, I did some quick research on the 'free inhabitant' claim. From what I understand it's a legal code that is meant specifically for one thing but is taken entirely out of context by these people, who are then shocked when no legal body recognizes their claim as legitimate.
Honestly, how could you believe for a second that any government would just allow random people to walk around doing whatever they want with no legal consequences?
