That's pretty unfair, they knew exactly why they were doing it and they assumed the people watching would think about it at least a little. It's not particularly hard to find out how and I think if you really want to donate then you'll just Google it.

All humans should be forced to donate 50% of their income, if it's above 1 million a year, to charity. World would be in a somewhat better place and the FREAKING FAN GIRLS could maybe be of any use.

All the ALS ice bucket challenges I have seen they mention the donation process, and they have received $15m more in donations this year than in the same time period last year.

In a manner I agree, in a manner I don't.
Celebs are raising awareness just by dumping water over their heads. People follow them, listen to them, etc. Because it's such a huge trend, with so many big names promoting it, awareness for ALS has been increased 100-fold.
Yes, it may appear to some that the celebs are just dumping water on their heads for fun. I say so what? If it's got a good message behind it, and it's fun to do and fun to watch, that makes the spread of the message more effective.
Sure, they could have put links to the donation website. But it's really not that hard to google "donate to ALS". Besides, if you're the sort of person who won't look it up to donate, you probably won't donate if the link is on the page.
As far as I'm aware, the celebs I've seen have donated money to the cause as well.

I got into being vegan because I was simply looking to benefit from being more compassionate. I have since come to learn that it is an animal-based diet that is responsible for the overwhelming majority of cases of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, multiple sclerosis, and all kinds of other problems.

******** .
Bill Gates didn't "hint" at ALS, he mentioned it twice in the video, and left links and explanation why to donate on his blog.

man to think such a crazy ****** could be so serious. but I have a feeling i know where he's coming from. As a guy who went through addiction and hurts himself a lot. he cares more for others than him self.
