England, look, we know you invented the language and all, and that's really cool.

But when you look at how a word like Colonel compared to how it's pronounced... You invented it wrong.

The word spelling was more of accents and adaption over time, like how the Americas are called Americas because of a typo. Or how when two parts of a species separate they slowly differ. Measurement system (since it's related) is used because it's simpler in real life uses, like a five foot person, instead of 1.something meters, while metric is used in any scientific application.

I always ******* hate it when Americans spell those words with a "u" in it. It's not even so much the spelling of it, but the people that do that tend to be pretentious ***** and want to seem well-cultured. Art students in particular tend to do that and then they always bitch about getting marked off on papers because they spell it incorrectly. It's a regional variation; all languages have them and it makes sense to adhere to the way your country uses its particular language.

No dude it's just america, most ppl who speaks English use the uk spelling for all words. Some places may have different slang and call things by different names but they spell the common words the same as the uk. Americans have their own American-English dictionaries, everyone else uses uk English dictionaries.

**vermillionbobcat rolled user xenxio ** User, you either have to ********* your dead or alive grandma for 15 minutes or lick 2 tablespoons of peanut butter off a Shih-tzu's nutsack. The shih-tzu is rabid if your grandma is already dead.

Why would anyone choose the grandma?
