The one about sprinting for 15 seconds is actually reasonable in a actual firefight. Basic Marine Corps 0311 Infantry carry M16 with 6 to 8 Mags (not including condition 1 Rifle) filled with 28 to 30 rounds (we will just say 30 rounds for argument sake) so that is 180 to 240 rounds. One or Two Grenades depending on the commands S.O.P's (Standard Operating Procedures. Full Camel Back (water) maybe a little chow and any patrol/mission priority gear i.e. Metal Detector, Radio Equipment, spare batteries, Head beam, PVS-14 (N.V.G), and a PEQ 15 or 16 (laser sight) and E-Tool (Shovel). Not to mention the Flak Jacket the ones currently used are just plate carriers which are a million times better than the Interceptor or the MTV, but Front, Back and Side Sapi's add up on top of Medic Pouch (I forgot the name) and Drop-Pouch and Kevlar. 60 -120 lbs on average so imagine a firefight having to alternate between sprinting and jogging. Anything over 15 seconds is excessive unless necessary.
