Another fun fact:
Japan makes up 95% of the "weird **** " in the world. an additional 4% belongs to Germany

I never saw the cat cafe nor the love hotels during my visit to Japan. I'm missing out!

<Pic related. Found in a train.

I miss Japan. 'twas a mighty fine stay

1. this has lead to a big problem in japan due to groping... they now have female only train cars
2. this actually goes both ways... there are many different shirts that ive seen americans buy that say "shibuya love hotel" which is actually kinda like tokyo's red light district
3. in japan theres actually many different (and weird) types of vending machines weird as in you can actually buy ****** up **** like used panties
(and a small bio) from vending machines for 5000 yen
... they are convenient because they are quick, discreet (look at the spoilers), and in japan, they have more people with social anxiety then the west so vending machines can be a huge relief for some.
4. this is pretty straight forward, in japan they have many noodle houses (kinda like an artform) and if you're ever in japan, go to one... just follow japanese businessmen after work (noodles are relatively cheap... you can get a bowl for 900 yen
5. ohhhh shibuya... tokyo has many love hotels most notable shibuya, shinjuku and toshima but the best is love hotel hill in shibuya... if you find yourself there, i would recommend hotel claire and opt for the train station room
6. this is true, but the further south you go, the more the life expectancy okinawa has a life expectancy close to 100yrs
7.this is weird for americans... 'mericans clean yo ass... but really, squating is a comfortable position for most asians thats why alot of asians squat when waiting for long periods of time/smoking because of the fact that the "floor toilet" requires you to squat... still, its funny watching non-asian faces when introduced to the floor toilet when they are prairie dogging or turtle heading
8. horse meat is actually incredibly delicious... even better than beef steak (only reason why we dont eat horse was because when we where domesticating animals for food, they saw cows stayed and horses ran...)

Panty machines are outlawed and can only be found in places that are already a bit illegal nowadays.

That you didn't even know that makes me believe that barely any of what you're saying is based on facts, and rather hearsay.

9. japan (and most of asia) is a very male oriented society so unfortunately (for feminists) this is commonplace and the family passes on the name and legacy to the eldest son
10.not really my cup of tea (since im more of a dog person) but i know that there is one in toshima, tokyo right by namja town... never had any reason to go inside... but it was always filled with girls that where a lliiittttlllleee bit too into it... either imitate cats (insert typical "nyyannn" sound) or the random yoyogi parkgoer (typical businessman by day... then they go home, take off the suit, put on makeup, wig and a wedding dress and sit in a corner staring and sipping ::shudder:: )

When I went to Spain, one of our hotels had toilets with the built in bidets. Those things are no joke. That water stream aims from your butthole. I positioned myself all over the rim, and it shot me straight up the ass every time. It was awesome. I miss robodouche

Just a note on the picture with the vending machine, those in particular are the sort you find on the rest stations along the toll roads (sort of like their version of Highways). There reststops were ******* STOCKED. If you ever find yourself in japan, you must try reststop curry. You will not be disappointed. (source: I used to live in Northern japan for 5 years, and would travel by bus for sports trips 12 hours south to Tokyo.)

Picture unrelated

Bidets need to be a common thing here in the States. If they aren't already.

Just got back from Japan. Most of these facts are spot on. Doubt the horse one due to the fact I didn't see it offered anywhere. The love hotels one is actually a bit of a stretch. While there are love hotels, the themed ones are much rarer and you have to work to find them. Also the poor english shirts no longer are a big thing. We tried looking everywhere for some and none of the stores even sold them, even in the high tourist areas. The closest you can find are t-shirts that they change the name of a famous brand to something amusing. The shoving people unto trains/buses...totally true and a major annoyance when getting around. Vending machines are god out there! You get addicted to them easy! The toilets even actually have heated seats that you can adjust the heat, and 2 different settings for the spray. The floor toilets are just fine when you're a guy, but awkward for a taller american for girls based of what my girlfriend and her friend said.

The horse one isn't true, it's not a popular food. While Japanese people do eat eat it occasionally it is extremely expensive and therefore only really eaten on special occasions. Also for the vending machine one they also sort of have fast food vending machines where you pick what you want and it gives you a ticket that you give to the person working behind the counter and they give you your food. Tada! Lunch with minimal human interaction.

Great comp. man

Just a couple of minor comments:

*Some love hotels. Love hotels mainly exist as just normal hotel rooms that you rent on an hourly basis, equipped with condoms and so forth, but yeah the fetish places exist (either can be fairly hard to find though).

And when you say "popular food" it's really more of an expensive delicacy (and although I haven't tried it raw, at least cooked horse is pretty damn delicious so I'm guessing the raw is good too).
