Never could get into Skyrim, it was also too easy and boring.

Now Dungeon Siege, that's a real RPG.

Another who knows of that glorious game?
User avatar #119 to #118 - Twithyiguess ONLINE (01/16/2014) [-]
Depends what difficulty you're playing on, mods also help. If you're playing on easy, it's going to be easy.

I bought the game during the steam sales, so I got all the DLC and the "Legendary" difficulty setting.

I played as a Breton mage, beat the game with minimal deaths.
I played as a Khajiit assassin, didn't die once.
I played as a Redguard bbeeerrsseerrkeeer, died once from a cliff.

You had three seperate characters, of which you beat the game.... and you didn't get into the game?
#124 to #123 - zukobingo (01/16/2014) [-]
I wanted to play the game fully before assessing it.

Playing it for 5 minutes and yelling "IT'S **** " would just be retarded as **** .

It has its good points, but after playing all of the different play-styles, it's meh.
#126 to #124 - kawaiidesudesuu (01/16/2014) [-]
Huh, someone actually giving something a chance before saying its garbage.
So that is a thing.
#128 to #127 - kawaiidesudesuu (01/16/2014) [-]
I agree to a point, the difficulty sucks, and turning up the difficulty doesn't do much besides give the enemy a retarded amount of health.
And then again I avoid fighting after the first play through and just become a traveling merchant or thief.

I could try that.
The game doesn't really compel me to come back to it, but playing as a wandering merchant could be interesting.
#131 to #129 - kawaiidesudesuu (01/16/2014) [-]
Yep, past a certain point, probably my 3rd play through of morrowind I just said " **** being the chosen one, I'm going to sell **** and wander."
User avatar #146 to #128 - inomgod (01/16/2014) [-]
well, actually, it reduces your damage by .25 and increases enemy damage by .25 per difficulty past adept, and vice-versa on easier difficulties. But it also affects EXP gains, I believe.
Not saying it's hard, but it actually doesn't affect health. Health is affected by level, e.g. mainly yours. this can be taken advantage of (never enter skill menu and remain char lv 1, but max out skill lvs)

Well, thanks to the ability to load saved games you pretty much always live long enough to become the villain.

I personally don't think Skyrim is as great as a lot of people say. I mean, it's good. The world's beautiful, big, and explorable, but I dislike the game play. I think it's too simplistic compared to games like Dragon's Dogma or Kingdoms of Amalur. Just my two cents.

It takes far more than 150 hours of skyrim to have end game gear and no quests left.
User avatar #208 to #161 - zebestfapfoldah (01/16/2014) [-]
Well, you can't complete all the quests. Some just keeps going on forever. Like the ''Dark brotherhood Forever'' quest. It generates people to kill, leaving you spending forever (pun intended) to complete it. You get a target to kill, comeback, ''quest completed'' and then you automatically get a new one.
I got really dissapointed when I found out there a quests like these. It makes the game mmore boring, even though you get a good reward.
#230 to #208 - leonidasking (01/16/2014) [-]
Ofcourse, but if you count that if you do all the repetatives just one time, it still would take far more than 150 hours.
#174 to #161 - DracoManX (01/16/2014) [-]
lol doesn't ave end game gear before 150 hours, what kind of ******* casual are you

#233 to #231 - DracoManX (01/17/2014) [-]
nah m8 ur just pretty casual, got end game gear at 70 hours with realism mods, doesn't take more than 150 to finish the game
#234 to #233 - leonidasking (01/18/2014) [-]
Sure it does, if the realism mods removes a lot of the sidequests it should be about 150 hours
#235 to #234 - DracoManX (01/18/2014) [-]
hahah what no realism mod removes sidequests, you should be able to finish everything, non dlc and non radiant/miscellaneous that dont lead to their own stories

#177 - irwincardozo (01/16/2014) [-]
i've spend more hours modding the game than actually playing it

That's how I played SimCity. I'd build my city to its maximum where its nothing but the best buildings, best parks, best everything...and then I turn on every single disaster at once, sit back and watch everything go to **** .
User avatar #40 - Whetstone (01/16/2014) [-]
I have Skyrim for the xbox360, so I can't really check how much time I've spent playing. I know that 2 years have past in Skyrim, so converting to real time and taking out the time for fast traveling and waiting, I probably played a total of about 720-800 hours playing Skyrim.
User avatar #53 to #40 - Whetstone (01/16/2014) [-]
I decided to try to calculate how much time I've spent playing Minecraft and I found out that it's anywhere between 3285 and 5475 hours...
