Amazon deliver cars? anyway, good luck driving it when you get it, with icy roads and frozen fuel.
User avatar #33 to #31 - MacTaylor (01/09/2014) [-]
"Frozen Fuel"

wat r u stoopid
User avatar #34 to #33 - gentlemanofbacon (01/09/2014) [-]
well, with temperatures well under 0, there is a chance, and will the extremely low temperatures happening in America, there is a good chance. it may not be true but... you know... there's a chance.
User avatar #35 to #34 - MacTaylor (01/09/2014) [-]
"The freezing point of pure gasoline depends on the difference in hydrocarbons. There are heavy and light hydrocarbons like paraffins and aromatics, respectively. Pure unleaded freezes around -97F and varies with addition of solutes such as water"

-somewhere on the webz
User avatar #36 to #35 - gentlemanofbacon (01/09/2014) [-]
Very well then. but a chance is a chance. I know my mum has a diesel car, and when she refuels, she puts in abit of Unleaded Petrol in and the rest diesel, because the Petrol can get CLOSE to freezing. but, yea, valid point. have a nice day.

Why do people in America have such an affinity with Japanese cars.
User avatar #76 to #73 - TheSchwartz (01/09/2014) [-]
Because they're more reliable than American cars and are cheaper to upkeep than German cars.
User avatar #89 to #76 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
Funny. Hondas and Acuras here are too ******* expensive second hand. American engineering on the other hand is cheaper and way more affordable and and have more power than ****** imports. Proof? 2.2 ecotec stock can kick Talon, Integra and civic ****** . Also, my '05 sunfire starts up in -42 weather like a ******* charm, without the block heater warming it up.
User avatar #118 to #89 - fukkentyranitar ONLINE (01/10/2014) [-]
Most second hand imports can be a pain in the ass because the dumbass owner tried to modify the engine themselves or bought ****** aftermarket parts. Unmolested, the average japanese car will go well over 400,000 kms with the usual upkeep. My dad had a Mercury Villager (Nissan Quest) since 94'. We had to scrap it because the frame was ****** up by the 15+ years of Canadian winter and it wasn't worth the money to fix it.
User avatar #122 to #118 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
Most cars will run forever if it's kept good care of.
User avatar #91 to #89 - mcknyte (01/10/2014) [-]
>Implying any pre '07 Pontiac isn't indestructible
User avatar #92 to #91 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
Hey, this guy is implying imports are reliable, but all I here from my friends and ricers are 3500$ in damage repairs, **** fuel mileage and what not, where I drive in a straight line with perfect steering and not even worry about fuel mileage.

I suppose attitude will cause problems, so it's more human stupidity than the actual manufacturers fault, because import-drivers try to be ricers, and then the ******* who try to get included drive the american cars, and **** them up. I also don't spin my tires or rev past 3,000 RPM for each shift.
User avatar #93 to #92 - mcknyte (01/10/2014) [-]
That's what I'm saying though. My truck is as old as I am, and the only maintenance I've had to do on it was replace some rusted body panels. It still runs reliably and it's got around 180k miles on the odometer.
User avatar #95 to #93 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
My sunfire has 309000 Kilometers on it, and I only had to replace the stock battery, which was a 5 year, but lasted for 8 years and over 300000Km. Other than that, it was a highway vehicle and probably drives better and looks better than most cars in the 100,000-200,000 KM range.
#109 to #95 - themassivefail (01/10/2014) [-]
Wanna go, gentlemen.
User avatar #110 to #109 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
Lemme mod my ecotec to 1200HP and we can race. brb 2 years.
#111 to #110 - themassivefail (01/10/2014) [-]
Maybe i'll pick a different one then... given the two year time frame... I wonder what I could do XD
User avatar #120 to #111 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
man you could've saved yourself a lot of room and just got shopping carts to push around instead of those bulky things with small storage:weight ratio.
User avatar #121 to #120 - themassivefail (01/10/2014) [-]
I have PLENTY of room lol I don't really have to worry about either of those things. Got an rv too, but that's an an rv storage place.
User avatar #123 to #121 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
;D just kidding lol. However, 90's cars are **** .
User avatar #124 to #123 - themassivefail (01/10/2014) [-]
That they are lol which is why I dont own any XD (I think i'll be getting a 1993 mini cooper s imported though... that's my next move)
User avatar #125 to #124 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
Any import that isn't asian is alright. In both design, because, lets face it, Europe has lead design now a days.
User avatar #126 to #125 - themassivefail (01/10/2014) [-]
Right on. Being English, I've always been partial to British made cars, along with most other European cars, they are actually much better built. Sure Honda's are reliable as all hell, but it's still... just a Honda. I like American muscle. Things you can actually take apart, work on, and put back together in one day without the aid of a computer ha.
User avatar #129 to #126 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
American Muscle = Sex. Although newer designs are a bit lame. I've only really considered late 80's Camaros/firebirds simply because the Sunfire had a reminiscent body design towards them. However I'm not one to spend money. I've got a relatively large nose for being a ukrainian/frenchie, and the nose is probably why I ******* love holding onto my money.
#130 to #129 - themassivefail (01/10/2014) [-]
YUS. I mean... LOOK AT IT. That's the engine in my green lincoln. But I agree, the newer styles are just... trying too hard. I got my mustang because that was my favourite body style, original muscle car lines, but with modern appliances. I do miss my money, however... but totally worth it.
User avatar #131 to #130 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
Those old style air intakes...

Oh well, I suppose it's a good trade off for fuel economy nowadays. It's actually nice being able to have a commuter for real cheap then pour money into a nice classic.
User avatar #132 to #131 - themassivefail (01/10/2014) [-]
my truck is my commuter ._. then again, I live in canada. In the winter. Kiiiinda need it.
User avatar #135 to #132 - heraske (01/10/2014) [-]
My sunfire is decent in winter. Then again I only do city driving and drive slow as **** . The only downside is 4 cylinders do not make good heaters.
