What, having so much torque that it threatens to destroy your chassis?
Explain to me how that's a good thing.

Not to mention it'll completely **** your handling and control.

Yup, when you feed it white rice the performance (nismo) version of that 2.6L stroked to 2.8 L DOHC electronic injection and ignition twin turbo engine made 500 bhp and 400 lb ft torques. The basic model did 280 hp 220 lb ft. Still a cast iron block too.

Welcome to the new era of V8 engines. This is the 5.8L 4-V V8 from the 2013 Shelby GT500 mustang. 662 BHP, 624 lb ft. Leaves your rice eatin' obsolete inline engine ******** itself at the start line.

MFW the new GTR will have over 620 hp and 580 lbs/ft of torque from an engine a littie over half the size.
User avatar #58 to #56 - lean (01/07/2014) [-]
The centerpiece of the GT-R is its powerplant, a twin-turbocharged and direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 that pumps out 545 horsepower and 463 lb-ft of torque.

That's from Nissan's website. Their GT track car version uses a V-8 funnily enough.
Explain to me how having a smaller engine is in any way better?

User avatar #62 to #58 - fukkentyranitar ONLINE (01/07/2014) [-]
Other than weight savings and distribution, there isn't much of an advantage in terms of power. But big block V8s can be heavy and usually throw a car's weight distribution out of whack. Its all about preference.
User avatar #68 to #62 - lean (01/07/2014) [-]
There are damn few big blocks left in production. I think GM is the only American company that still has one in production (LS7). Ford uses that stupid ass V10 and Dodge has a 6.2 L that technically is a small block. As far as weight goes, between a V6 and V8 aluminum block, we are talking tens of pounds, not hundreds like it was in years past. I think the difference bare engine and manifold of the above two is something like 45 lbs. Its all about sound to me.

I don't have it at all. It's a bit strange, but I love the game even though I have never played it because I found it through the music first (same way I found out about Guilty Gear) and once that piqued my curiosity read through the entire wikia and started watching competitive matches.

That's a tough one. I'd go with Hazama for his absolute, unapologetic evil. He doesn't have some sad back story or ulterior motive, he just revels in the despair of others. He's so twisted that it's comical at times.
User avatar #20 to #19 - thechosenseven (01/07/2014) [-]
"at times" Dude, Hazama is hilarious at all times, seriously. If you can, buy the games. The English is surprisingly good as is the writing, though don't take it to seriously as the story isn't great.
#22 to #20 - papastalin (01/07/2014) [-]
I would but I don't really own any consoles besides a 3ds, and can't afford to buy others.

how about the weird-ass relation triangle with Austria, Hungary and Prussia?
Austria and Hungary get married for some reason (you know, Austria-Hungary), but Prussia clearly has a crush on Hungary.
Then we have some weird **** going on between Belgium and Romano, Holland and Money and Italy and Germany having a little more than "friends" or "best friends" relationship.
User avatar #120 to #119 - Loppytaffy (01/07/2014) [-]
Belgium and Romano have more of a child/girl next door who occasionally babysits relationsion.
Also when gay marriage became legal in Spain a few years back, Hima released a strip in which Spain proposed to Romano. Roma didn't refused him, however he did outline what he expects from marriage.
Which turn out not to be all that different from what he expected of Spain back when he was a colony.
#121 to #120 - trevanman (01/07/2014) [-]
that might be true.
I have to say I kinda had a crush on my babysitter once. it was way back, when I was like two or three years old and my sister was just born.
so perhaps Romano actually has a crush on Belgium.

OR Belgium and Holland. because incest and because I'm still not over what happened in Oreimo...
#123 to #121 - Loppytaffy (01/07/2014) [-]
Netherlands (to say someone from elsewhere in the Netherlands is from Holland is as insulting as calling a Scotsman English) likes Romano, a lot. His hate for Spain doesn't mean that he holds any resentment to Roma, and I think that's great.
#124 to #123 - trevanman (01/07/2014) [-]
I'll stick with Holland.
it's shorter.
and I want to see what happens if I tell a Frisian he's from Holland...
User avatar #125 to #124 - Loppytaffy (01/07/2014) [-]
I shorten it to Ned (Nederlands). Because it's above Flanders.
I also call Britain that and not England, because he uses the Union Flag.
Don't even get me started with Doitsu and any honourific used by non-Asian characters.
#126 to #125 - trevanman (01/07/2014) [-]
I never get honorifics anyways. those things after a name are honorifics, right?
-kun, -tan, -san, -kun ?
when do you use which?
was it -kun for male and -san for female?
and -tan for cute?
User avatar #131 to #126 - Loppytaffy (01/07/2014) [-]
Chan is child or girl you're close to.
Kun is someone you're familiar with but aren't that close to so still need to show respect.
San is an adult (Okāsan- mother).
Sama is an adult who you really need to respect.
Tan is very young and cute (Afgahnis-tan).
Donno is a samurai's master, but is familiar- so they're close but the boundaries are there.
#132 to #131 - trevanman (01/07/2014) [-]
that's it!
chan is often said to small children and adults, if you know them. in animes, that is.
User avatar #134 to #132 - Loppytaffy (01/07/2014) [-]
Though there are no rules to say you can't call a grown up male "chan". Nor that you have to use an honourific at all (see Free!).
And to referr to yourself as "my honourable self" you'd say "Ore-sama"
