How does it make you feel that he'll go down as one of the musical greats from this generation? (hell I'd even put him as one of the greatest artists of all time)
User avatar #76 to #47 - tisjunkisdamnfunny (12/11/2013) [-]
He's one of the few good rappers left. And still pushing the envelope for next gen music. he is, though, out of his god damn mind.
User avatar #75 to #47 - pokemonarereal (12/11/2013) [-]
the problem is all these un cultured dick bags only listen to the music they like, and never give any other genres a chance, therefore theyve never actually listened to kanye's lyrics. Which are sometimes actually pretty ******* deep, Yeezus was pretty ignant but go listen to graduation and youll be changed

Really, has no value? Every week or so people post **** here against suicide and the message is always like "it doesn't matter if some people hate you, you still matter to those who truly matter (family and friends) and you killing yourself would destroy them." Everybody comments "Aww man that was deep, so many feels" or "you just saved my life, thanks."
But, whenever it's about celebrities somehow those people don't see them as human beings with family and friends who care about them. Suddenly it becomes "I don't like him/her so he can just die and everybody would be happy."

FJ just keeps proving how double standards are alive and well.

tl;dr FJ is like a teenage girl.

So? Is it any of your business what he names his child? No, it is not. So get your head out of your ass.

You are now aware that Nelson Mandela was a terrorist, never once condemned his use of violence or bombs on innocent people, one of his wives enjoyed torturing people, and he drove South Africa into such a depression that lots of both blacks and whites think the country was much better under apartheid rule
User avatar #13 to #3 - teoferrazzi (12/11/2013) [-]
look at how edgy you're being
south africa was in a recession under mandela because the country was loaned money under prohibitive conditions by american investors. if they hadn't taken the money they would have collapsed, so the country accepted the money under the condition that the entire economy was in the hands of corporations, getting the country into a recession.
tl;dr it's not mandela's ******* fault.

go be edgy somewhere else.
#71 to #13 - Absolute Madman (12/11/2013) [-]
South African here. I and my family moved away for this reason alone

you really want to understand the truth about this man, you'll take the time to listen to this. All of the sources are backed up, just follow the link in the description if you want to learn more.

#29 to #13 - Absolute Madman (12/11/2013) [-]
He is not being edgy. It's part of history. But, I guess people don't like to learn the bad side of it.
User avatar #33 to #29 - teoferrazzi (12/11/2013) [-]
if you read my comment at all, you'd know I debunked the comment using actual knowledge, instead of factoids regurgitated from conservative websites.

****** I live in South Africa. I know what he did. There is no denying that Mandela bombed, kidnapped and killed a lot of people.
User avatar #7 to #3 - willindor (12/11/2013) [-]
One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
#73 to #7 - Absolute Madman (12/11/2013) [-]

Tell me how the bombing of soft, non military, non government targets, killing innocent men and women, is fighting for freedom.
User avatar #87 to #73 - willindor (12/11/2013) [-]
I was only saying that good and evil are relative. I'm not attacking or defending Mandela's actions and I do not care about your views on him.
User avatar #5 to #3 - hudis (12/11/2013) [-]
Lesson learned: There's no such thing as purely good or purely bad people. There are no good guys. There are no bad guys. Fairly simple.
#53 to #5 - smithforprez (12/11/2013) [-]
you like genocide, don't you hudis?
User avatar #55 to #53 - hudis (12/11/2013) [-]
Yes, but only in strategy games!

("Hitler loved dogs" is a pretty common saying. He is responsible for a number of animal rights laws that still exist in European countries. He also loved children, as far as I know, and never wished to be part of the concentration camp procedure. Not defending him or anything, just saying that even the worst of the worst can have moments of good!)
User avatar #56 to #55 - smithforprez (12/11/2013) [-]
strategy games are great, pretending to be the evilest bastard who ever lived is funny. and not having piles of actual corpses to feel guilty about is a plus too.
User avatar #2 - teoferrazzi (12/10/2013) [-]
well turns out I was half right.. Kanye West never said that, but the website that posted the article is satirical, à la Onion.

I thought the magazine was serious and click-baiting with huge sounding headlines, but they were satirizing. not the same thing

Ah, my bad, I misunderstood what you meant by click-baiting.
