Am I the only person who didn't get AC4 because AC3 was such a huge let down?

From what I've heard, the only real issues with AC4 were the usual PC port issues, too easy, and tries to be AC while feeling like Ubisoft trying to make a new series (this one not so much of an issue). Haven't played it.

Technically, Connor was pretty much revenge too.
It was literally just him running around America being pissed off at everything. I mean he had a pretty damn good reason to be pissed off, don't get me wrong, but, goddamn, ************ had more revenge than Ezio.

He learned through time that there's a difference between revenge and what need to be done, whats right, and what he should do. By the end of his journey it wasn't for revenge it was for freedom and righteousness.

I hated Conor though the whole game not once did I feel like he was fighting for American Freedom or even that he was on the side of the colonies, it felt more like he was just crying to get back at his dad for being a jerk.
User avatar #32 to #17 - clowheights (12/02/2013) [-]
He wasn't really fighting for American freedom, more for the freedom for Aboriginals. I'm guessing he thought if he helped the colonies, his people would be free also. But we all know how that turned out. :/
User avatar #70 to #32 - patrickmiller (12/02/2013) [-]
I don't even think that though the whole game it just felt like he was rebelling against his father.
User avatar #11 - Shramin (12/01/2013) [-]
Ezio started with revenge but grew to fight for Freedom.

Connor on the other hand never got over the revenge path, he never fought for freedom, just for revenge of the people who killed his people.

for altair it was more of a fight to earn his place again, and he ended up accidentally uncovering an ancient secret and learned a lesson. actually he was more of a murderous asshole who abused power, got punished, and then had to face his consequences. altair was also nothing more than a criminal assassin pretending what he did was righteous and that he was some sort of judge/jury/executioner. In reality he learned almost nothing, then abused the apple of eden, then decided to lock it away so nobody could use it again except for one of his quintuple great grand children could have it in the future. ******* arrogant as all **** he's honestly the worst assassin in the entire series. and that's why he's my favorite.

Connor never fought for freedom. He was fighting because he was told to and got mixed up in politics for no reason, hunting down a Templar who just happens to be involved with everything. AC4 was really fun though.
User avatar #42 to #35 - skeetonamber (12/02/2013) [-]
He was majorly motivated by the "white men" bringing his peoples forest down though

Also unrelated to your comment, Edward fought for riches, and their quote during the game is "nothing is sacred, everything is permitted"

not a spoiler unless you wanna wait to hear it
User avatar #136 to #42 - nim (12/02/2013) [-]
That's what he claimed he was doing but it didn't have much to do with the actual plot in the end. I just didn't like Connor. I finished the game the weekend it came out so there is nothing you can spoil.

Connor wasn't really fighting for America, well he was but he only did so to stop the Templars and protect his tribe.
