On the topic of reused assets, take a look at Valve.

I've only played the third Call of Duty and the first modern warfare, and I'm completely confused over whether or not I should completely despise or respect the second and third modern warfare.

As for Ghosts, I'm probably never gonna play it anyway, so I'll just continue playing TF2 and PAYDAY.

Excuse me if I'm wrong but is that Makorov in the "ghosts" panel?

I thought he died in MW3

The Call of Duty series may be repetitive and lacking in innovation, but at the heart of every one I've played I've had fun playing it. If you sit down, remove your pre-conceived thoughts about the series and play the game as a form of light entertainment then it is enjoyable. I find it very dumb when people boycott Call of Duty games simply because it's 'cool' to hate on them. I mean what do they want, a sticker? Congratulations, you know how to follow a bandwagon.
All they're doing is missing out on entertainment for the sake of some pointless 'gaming superiority' they have in their heads.
I still haven't got Ghosts yet, but I hope that it's as enjoyable as all the past games.

To anyone who already has the game - what's it like?

Call of duty is definitely a repetitive game, but the fast pace shooting in those games is sorta what a lot of people apparently like, i myself buy a cod game every year simply because my friends all enjoy it and it gives me something to do

I heard Ghosts is actually pretty good. Can someone confirm this?

I'm pretty sure that was the point. If I'm not mistaken that is also the same scene where Ghost dies, and this COD takes it's name from him, so.

Yeah, not shameless recycling, more like neat homage.

That scene is at the very end of the game. Ghost dies much earlier. You are mistaken

I don't think it's meant to be an easter egg kind of thing, we know they're an incomparably lazy developer.

now, were they being lazy, or is there some point to using the same cutscene?

I'm not a huge fan of CoD but it's not the worst game ever, it's just not all it's made out to be by its consumers.

The came basically became spray and pray, once the took out: last stand, jug, stopping power. those perks made it so that you would have to make sure the target was dead and not run off so care free. Now its too much like Unreal Tournament (Not knocking it, good memories).
