Disney reuses animations in several different movies more than once and no one bats an eye.

CoD does it once and everyone loses their minds.

People. People. Holy **** people. I just saw an IGN video on this cutscene **** too. It is NOT EVEN sixteen seconds of barely matching gameplay. The "HURR DURR COWADOOBY SUX" circlejerking is really getting old. Legitimate complaints, like you don't like the gameplay, or the graphics aren't up to par, or it shares too many similarities with previous CoD games are acceptable, the "THESE FIFTEEN AND A HALF SECONDS LOOK SIMILAR TO MODAWARFAR TOO!!!!!!!!!" has to stop.

Oh, and also that gif is from IGN's edit to make the footage sync up. They sped it up and cut some parts out. This is weak **** .

COD...COD NEVER CHANGES. I ******* hate this game. All went down hill after COD 4.
Pretty much if you play this instead of games like Red Orchestra, CSGO, any Arma title and especially if you pay 60$ for it i think you should go die in a fire.

perhaps it was on purpose? Someone had to have noticed I would think? Then again, it is Call of Duty, i wouldn't be surprised if they just did it out of laziness

And above you would see bitter people who believe call of duty repeats itself with laziness. Call of duty is its own entity in the sense that it has revolutionized first person shooters. You can argue that the idea is not original, but neither are yours and probably will never be revolutionary. The companies whom collaborate in call of duty take turns creating the new call of duty so there is no exhaustion just because "they try to pump out a new game every year". Repetition is powerful and perfectly fine in literature so why can't everyone respect the artistry and treat video games with the same respect they deserve?

1) Gameplay really hasn't changed since CoD 4.
2) Only now are they using a new graphics engine since then.
3) The only thing revolutionary about CoD was when CoD 4 was set in modern times, thus ending the era of WW2 games.
4) The games are developed by two separate companies each year, yet they still play exactly the same.
5) Putting out a game every year is different from putting out a new book every year. Games take a lot longer to make and a lot more people. A book only takes one person to write and doesn't take very long to do in the first place depending on the writer.
6) I'm pretty sure an idea needs to change how we look at things to be revolutionary.

Excuse me if I'm wrong but is that Makorov in the "ghosts" panel?

I thought he died in MW3
User avatar #187 - caelinnis (11/08/2013) [+] (2 replies)
I'm pretty sure that was the point. If I'm not mistaken that is also the same scene where Ghost dies, and this COD takes it's name from him, so.

Yeah, not shameless recycling, more like neat homage.
#233 to #187 - anonymous (11/08/2013) [-]
That scene is at the very end of the game. Ghost dies much earlier. You are mistaken

The Call of Duty series may be repetitive and lacking in innovation, but at the heart of every one I've played I've had fun playing it. If you sit down, remove your pre-conceived thoughts about the series and play the game as a form of light entertainment then it is enjoyable. I find it very dumb when people boycott Call of Duty games simply because it's 'cool' to hate on them. I mean what do they want, a sticker? Congratulations, you know how to follow a bandwagon.
All they're doing is missing out on entertainment for the sake of some pointless 'gaming superiority' they have in their heads.
I still haven't got Ghosts yet, but I hope that it's as enjoyable as all the past games.

To anyone who already has the game - what's it like?
#182 - gwenisghey (11/08/2013) [-]
so

maybe MW3 was just a dream then?

that would make great sense. i wouldnt think a story that ****** could really happen, even in the CoD universe
