What I find truly incredible is the existence of a 3D printer. You could download the specs for any car on the market, and, using a piece of technology that costs about $2000, make a functional replica of that vehicle.
What that means is you can live a pirate's dream for a small price: $2000, and you can download any car you want.

Well, not exactly.
You can make many parts of a car with the plastics used in 3d printing but you'll still need parts which cannot be printed, such as the engine, wiring, glass, frame and axle.
While you could potentially replicate every object of a car and reconstruct it there's no way it would last.

3d printers are nowhere near that powerful yet. All you can make are small, plastic objects.

Maybe in 30-50 years we will have printers with that kind of capability, but printer itself will be extremely expensive, you will have to pay for all of the individual materials, and you would have to assemble the car by hand.
