As annoying as dreams can be I love them
In dreams, there is no gravity, no aches, no pain, just pure reality. The world is free, movement isn't so restricted... I can fly if I want I can imagine. Dreams are always different and the worlds and stories are not always positive, but even waking from nightmares I can't help but think:
"Man, dreaming is so much better than being awake."
Every time sex is involved in a dream I usually wake up because I get too excited.

I get a severe upgrade.
It's really nice, I can just jump in the air and fly right away, it doesn't take me any effort I can just do it...

If you're aware you're dreaming then keep your mind focused on good things and your brain will gain more power and help you gain more power (If you want to call it that).

I have to agree. In my dreams, I'm normally the rough equivalent of the Master Chief. The lore version of him, the practical demi-god, not the game version.

Unless it's a nightmare. Then... Then **** gets real unpleasant. It's like the opening of Dead Space 2, except the straight jacket never comes off.

How to say this... "its all in your head" like I said dreams can be annoying, I often struggle in dreams with a few things, but it doesn't take much to delete entire mountains or not need to fear injury since you are inherently immortal.

I think it's a lot like the Matrix, you just have to believe... and concentrate and take control and whatnot. But eh, the dream world isn't a world many have successfully traveled. I barely scratched the surface there were so many things I wanted to study/try
User avatar #94 to #84 - darksideofthebeast (10/11/2013) [-]
You actually feel 100x more feelings in a dream.
If you're getting ass ****** by a demon you will feel every second of it.

You can die in your sleep from fear of a dream and having a heart attack.

They are enjoyable but there are flaws to it also.
User avatar #95 to #94 - infinitereaper (10/11/2013) [-]
Maybe it depends on how lucid you are. I failed, as usual, to master things like WILD and lucid dreaming in general but I'm partially lucid in most dreams... most of my nightmares are enjoyable, I don't care about pain when my chronic pain is gone, I dunno, the only thing I don't like about dreams is that they aren't reality.

I mean, when I eat a bag of chips in a dream they are the best chips I've ever had and I'm so happy and fulfilled, when I eat a bag of chips in reality all I get is a stomach ache and indigestion.
User avatar #96 to #95 - darksideofthebeast (10/11/2013) [-]
I have lucid dreams almost every night I fall asleep without a TV on.

I've gotten so scared in lucid dreams before because I would wake up paralyzed fall back asleep keep dreaming and just never ending cycle that feels like days.
Then finally when I wake up I don't think it's real life.
Then it becomes kind of scary.
I get scared in dreams because I'm a person who doesn't like to be alone, if I am lucid dreaming that is all I think about.

I usually have fun but the overall dream is gloomy and dark.
User avatar #98 to #96 - infinitereaper (10/11/2013) [-]
Ah... you're lucky. If only I could spend "days" in dreamworld time, living wouldn't be so painful for me.

You have a lot to work with complete lucidity short circuits my dreams or throws me into false awakening. I have very poor control of it. Sleep paralysis, I actually like it because it's fun and weird and what not but it is hard to deal with. It breaks so easy for me.

I literally have to push myself to sage/monk like tiers to really get anywhere. I like dreams.

Ideally, I'd like to spend at least a day lucid in dreamworld dreamtime and just explore and have fun and enjoy and what not. Hell even a few hours of dreamtime would be great. But... ah... insomnia I guess. Makes for a horrible lucid dreamer.
User avatar #108 to #98 - darksideofthebeast (10/11/2013) [-]
Oh and WILD will barely ever work unless you do the wake back to bed technique.

Wake up in about 5 hours of sleep then don't move at all.
Then you should get paralyzed within 30 seconds.
If not fall back asleep and retry.
Everytime I get into sleep paralysis I kind of get scared. Not really scared just kind of a weird feeling of something like helplessness.
Although I know nothing can hurt me, it's the fact that I can't move.
When I enter sleep paralysis I just keep my eyes closed (see no evil hear no evil) type of thing.

I've been in sleep paralysis for 10 minutes before, it can be terrifying if it lasts that long.
In the sleep paralysis my mother was on the computer on the chair in the living room (I'd taken a nap on the couch) and I woke up paralyzed and couldn't get out of it.
Then tried calling my mom to wake me up and nothing happened, then when I finally worked up enough muscle power to mutter "Help" She looked at me and her faced turned completely black (or like a depiction of a demon)

Then I got out of it and there were black dots all over my walls that faded away.
Creeped me out because it was dark in the room.
#111 to #108 - infinitereaper (10/11/2013) [-]
HA, all of my WILDs were non that method, I just layed in bed. Perfected I could probably do it in 30 minutes to 1 hour, but alas I have trouble falling asleep to begin with.

SP for me only lasts 10 seconds or so, comes on like thunder, and I'm transported directly into dream world... like being uploaded, my body feels like it's flying.

Just biology, we are all different I guess.
User avatar #114 to #111 - darksideofthebeast (10/11/2013) [-]
Sleep paralysis for me is a bone gnawing minutes...

I never really hallucinate but I just don't enjoy being helpless and alone.

When I am in sleep paralysis though I do like to play around.
Basically moving my conscious copy around so it's not my physical body but feels like it.
I can wave my legs and arms (Which means I could astral project voluntarily if I tried).

Dreaming is so fun regardless though, out of all the things to do I usually just fly around.

I've always wanted to explore space as a particle traveling close to the speed of light.

That would be enjoyable, I wouldn't mind to stay there for a couple of days.
User avatar #102 to #98 - darksideofthebeast (10/11/2013) [-]
I've spent 7 days in an astral projection.
I looked at myself in a mirror and I was all wavy, I looked at a clock all the numbers were racing.

I woke up in my house but everything was white and what not. I had started asking everyone in the room if I'd died and everyone kind of just shunned me.

Then I started telling them that I was their god pretty much, that they were only apart of my dream and they all got angry.

I then demanded to speak to my sub conscious and they thought I was crazy.

So later on in the dream someone approached me, a woman in a green jacket (As I can remember) Started speaking to me and I blacked out, after the conversation I woke back up in the dream or astral projection (I call it that because I was lucid but unable to control anything) I asked her a question "Who are you?" She replied: "Your sub conscious"...

And it was at that point I nearly lost my mind and I just remember roaming around in the dream world then I just decided "If I'm dead, I'm dead... This isn't so bad"
Then I had gotten an idea of how to wake up if I wasn't dead, I started getting really excited because I was in a dream, I knew it was a sure fire way to wake me up.
And sure enough, it did.

Dreams are the best.
Tips: Don't drink caffiene within 3 hours before bed.

Don't fall asleep with a TV on, it changes your brain wave frequency into a lower frequency thus making it harder to detect certain things (Reality, dreaming, dream vividness ETC...) and it will make it near impossible for a lucid dream.
Look at your hands at least 5 times a day and TRULY question if you're alive and in reality (or so you perceive) and eventually you will be able to have one whenever you want honestly... If I really want one I will deprive myself of sleep so I can get longer sleep and enter R.E.M for longer.

Trust me, you can dream better.
Start writing down your dreams.
If you truly want it your brain will force itself for it to work.

And it truly is in this case.

Yea, it's better to practice lucid dreaming when you have free time.
because if you don't you might get stuck in a dream for a while even if your alarm clock is going off.

That'd be hard to explain to a boss or teacher.

Whenever i have sex in a dream the woman and all of her possessions are either red or white. It is the most unusual thing and it seems as if though they are categorized by color in a way.

If the woman has red clothes and red belongings (ex: a dream with a woman in a red dress with a red car and a red purse etc...) the dream is sexually compulsive and the sex is immediate and passionately compulsive.

If the woman has white clothes and white belongings (ex: a dream where a woman had a white t-shirt and shorts, in a white house, with marble white floors and an empty white pool) I find myself following a woman around or looking for them before having equally as passionate, slow, thoughtful sex.
