"Schools have abolished failing grades."

WHAT? I miss turning in a single assignment and my overall grade is changed to an F instantly.

Yeah I was pretty bummed about it.
I had 10 assignments due on the same day and had completed 9 of them, but forgot the tenth.

*Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Carlos Slim, J. K. Rowling, and Zukerberg were/are self employed people that founded their companies, like countless other rich people. Maybe they were employees, but no ass licking for long. These "rules" are pretentious. Also having a fortune usually requires some back-stabbing and sell your butt.

I do hate when some one tries to make an argument against an opinion but ends up calling it a name without making actual points that directly relate to the post/opinion.

My point is that most of the millionaires (that I know of) are/were self employed. These rules were made (with a self entitled tone) to employees to STFU and settle to their fate, which is win or die.

So what you are saying is that employers and others apart of the work force should create their own values instead of take the **** from millionaires?

Too bad most of society has taught us to go to college specifically so we can avoid having to flip burgers for a living, giving the entire fast food industry a stigma that you have a be either a dropout or an illegal alien to be reduced to working there.

I agree with rule 1, to a certain degree. Some people are dicks to you, just to make you life hard. I know that some things are unchangeable, but people don't have to act like dicks.

"Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity."

Oh yeah? Was that your saying before or after you made enough money to retire at 30. I bet everyone would live a successful life and make enough money to support their family if they just settled with a minimum wage job and didn't try to better themselves.

that was directed at students. if you have a part-time-job, you pay for yourself and dont live from your parents. dats taking responsibility and for me it also meant independence ... well, my job wasnt flipping burgers exactly, but you get what i mean i hope

What ******* kind of part-time job give enough money to sustain yourself?!

The cheapest aparments in Denmark, those that are meant for students with low eco, cost ATLEAST 400$ a month, with atleast 2.000$ in advance.

Then you need to calculate food, internet, washing of clothes and so on.

I think you can just barely live, in the worst apartments possible, for around 900-1.000$...And what kind of "part time" give you 1.000$ pr month?

i heard about that bad situation in denmark from others who have been there via erasmus, too. most people need to take a credit or at least 2 part time jobs. makes studying anything but easier

I don't think Gates said this, but if so I think he needs to shut up. Of course he may be right about a few things. But he made an amazing amount of money right after College, he doesn't know everything about other people situations.

#1: but be alert when someone uses this an argument. It basically either means "because I feel like being an asshole" or "I'm too lazy to actually explain myself".

#7: there are plenty of parents who maintain a friendly demeanor and a healthy social life even among adult duties. Maybe your folks are just pricks.

Not even sure what to say about the rest of this, it just seems like common sense.
