It parodies and lampshades nearly every single horror movie trope, while still being a legitimate horror movie.

If you don't really care about spoilers, watch this video. This alone made me want to watch this movie.

the cabin in the woods - full monster scene (extended)

Hope you like blood.

On a related note, the movie Blast From the Past is really enjoyable. At least I liked it.

That's here in Las Vegas, being sold by a bank (bank owned) for 1.7 million. The previous owner bought it for 2 million. Interesting fact, I've seen the above ground photos, and they're not much. 5,000 sqft, the upper level has two emergency exits and air conditioning from above.

Wait is this the underground house? Because I've only seen that from the outside my Aunt lives near it so I see it a lot when I go down to Vegas (I live up in Reno)

You would only see two small exits that look like it should be in the slums.

Its amazing how "Perfect" this thing looks, as if the super cheesy and over the top happy interior design of the place would make the family living there forget that the world is being torn apart.

I don't know... I mean, its cool and all, but I think the clearly fake scenery and such would only make me depressed in a situation like that. A trick or cruel imitation of what I'm missing, and what I might never see again.

What if the Earth is really a sort of bunker from an old intergalactic war, and we are the survivors of a particular species? That could explain why it doesn't seem to be other intelligent life forms anywhere near us. Maybe they all died in the war, or even forgot about us.

Also, who was phone?

Only a year? Wouldn't the radiation outside still be too potent to live in after a year? I thought you'd have to wait much longer than that to be able to leave without some hazmat radiation suit.

I would prefer something more utilitarian. You start fooling yourself and you go crazy quicker…

It seems kinda wasteful for a bomb shelter. If I had that kind of space and money to build one, it would be far more utilitarian (ie, able to self-sustain almost indefinitely).
