This was so sad and heart wrenching. But what really got my feels were the comments posted here. Some people sharing similar stories or personal experiences. And the few people who wanted to post "thats so gaaaaay" are thumbed down hardcore. FJ really is a community, I never realized.

A side note, if people didn't know. It's suicide awareness day today. Just before September 10th.

Wow. This is so sad.
I never understood why people would want to commit suicide. But, I'm not those people and don't know how they think. It's a selfish way out and you think you are going to finally find peace and happiness..which is probably true. All the problems you had are gone, all the feelings and thoughts are gone. But now everybody who loved you, hated you, saw you around has been affected by it. Some more then others. You might have ruined somebodies life because they couldn't understand why, they couldn't help. All these kids in school who commit suicide because of bullying is horrible. Life gets better. School is just school. Some of those people you will never see again. I used to be bullied alot. But now i'm married to a wonderful husband, just bought a house and have an amazing job. Screw people, live your life the way you want. It's your story and write it the best you can.

I believe that many of those who commit suicide hate themselves so much that they can't see how others can love them so much, so they believe it will not really hurt the people around them if they were to disappear...

Get over it.
People die, crying about it wont bring them back, instead try celebrating that persons life instead of selfishly missing what you do not have anymore.

not trying to be an arse if i sound like one i am socially retarded like that.

You had them already though, at least you were able to have good times before they departed for the long haul.
i would quote my own experiences but i know they would be perceived differently as i suspect we do not think alike at all.
Soo i will say this.
Life is for the living, enjoy it instead of wallowing over the dead, otherwise you yourself will miss out on the all the "good times" that you treasured so much with your departed leaving only the memories of those you lost to treasure for eternity.

I was summoned here from the ether, and this guy, although the way he worded it was a bit harsh, is right. Don't fret over what is gone, only hope for a brighter tomorrow, greener pastures, whatever. You'll be fine. Enjoy life, all of it, take the good with the bad, and don't sweat the small stuff, remember good times, but also, don't forget the bad times either, without them you would not change to become a better person, just take them with a grain of salt. This has been random person number 35 signing out.

A beautiful girl named Amanda Todd committed suicide oct.15,2012. A Vancouver-area teenager who posted a story to YouTube last month about being cyber-bullied, was found dead Wednesday night in Coquitlam, Canada. Amanda’s video tells a heart-wrenching story of the bullying she was subjected to — both online and off.
A Facebook page titled Rest In Paradise Amanda Michelle Todd had nearly 11,000 likes at the time of this writing. The wall features countless messages of condolence. So if you think you got it bad just remember someone out there has it 2x’s worse somewhere. So now just be glad that you aren’t this girl. Look up Amanda Todd’s video and if you see a girl with cards then that is the video I want you to watch.
You were so beautiful. I can't believe you are gone why did god have to take an innocent child??? RIP baby girl your fight is over now you can rest in the safety of your beautiful wings. ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥

is there really a 'good example' of suicide? i hated the amanda todd ******** as much as everyone else on the internet, but she was still someone's daughter.

no, but it makes me angry that people feel bad for people who committed suicide because of something they caused, its really rude and selfish, people cant solve their own problems anymore, because its to hard for them. so they just throw themselves in front of a train. but where they dont think of are the machinist who caught a trauma and the people who need to clean it up.

My advice to anyone who has contemplated suicide...
Learn to enjoy the little things. Step outside. Feel the sunshine or the rain on your face. Go to a place that really speaks to you and just enjoy the atmosphere. Draw a picture. Play a video game. Take a long bath or a shower. Lie down in bed and think of all of the possibilities you could have if you just lived. You could go to Paris, see the Eiffel Tower or something. You could do anything you want. Take it from a guy who has thought of suicide before, if you begin to look at things from a more narrow perspective for a few minutes and enjoy the little things, little things add up. It becomes a big thing.
