Anon because i"m rather embarrassed to even say this. But it must be told... IT MUST BE TOLD! 15 years ago my son is born. My wife has a nice degree making good money and I am a making crap money with no degree. Naturally we decide that i'm going to be the stay at home parent because she can make a lot more money and she can't cook. It's been great. I love to cook and sadly I even love to clean. 3 kids later I've had the best 15 years of my life.

Where am I going with this? A few weeks ago my wife and I are watching preseason football **** . She said "I'm hungry, I want a turkey club" So I went and made her a sandwich and brought it to her. My kids are all snickering at me. I said "what's so funny gang?" and my youngest who is a tender and sweet 7 years old say "HA HA HA YOU'RE THE WOMAN, SAMICH OR BACKHAND" With what I sure was a defeated look, I left the room. For the last few weeks they've all been calling me "samich maker" and their mom "alpha"

No, she's trying too hard.

You want the sandwich, you make the sandwich.

A different thing if you want something to drink or an apple or something.

I'm too particular about my food, I'd never ask out of the dickmove assumption that someone else would get it wrong.

Evan looks no older than my ten year old brother, unless he's a downer...

How about we realize that in a relationship we do things for each other. I'll make you a sandwich if asked, not demanded, and provide other special services for you. In return, you can check my oil and come with me to the car garage when my car breaks down. We do things for each other, this "you should this because I deserve it" **** is ******* annoying. Same goes for sexist feminists.

But what if i want a meal that is very difficult to make? like lasagna or canned soup?

If you could ask for anything off a woman though, why would you ask for a sandwich?

I don't think the sandwich thing was ever an issue, or even actually about sandwiches. It was just a joke in the same line as "get back in the kitchen". It's not a literal thing people. There aren't men starving out there without their sandwiches.
