Why not Matt Damon? He is a far better actor and has played the action hero before well unlike Affleck who sucked as Daredevil. He also looks more the part in terms of body. Affleck is skinny while Damon is broad-shouldered and big. I'd much rather have Damon than Affleck but I'd still always prefer Bale.

With everyone complaining about how Affleck is going to make a bad batman because he looks nothing like him, has anyone noticed how he has a very similar jawline to Christian Bale?

You know, the only part of batman you can properly see with the mask on

The problems with this movie start with Zack Snyder as the director, not casting Ben Affleck as the Batman.

all we should hope for is that Ben Affleck can teach Snyder how to shoot a ******* movie on top of not sucking as Batman

**whatwhen rolled a random image posted in comment #4 at but is it? ** shut the hell up about heath doing good job as joker, joker isnt supposed to wear ******* make up he looks like that cuz he fell in some chemicals, nolan did worst batman movies in history of mankind he completely destroyed whole story line and recreated villains for popularity which sucks balls. burtons batman (1989) was the best and will always stay so. and jack nicholson is the best joker!
only thing what nolan did good was batman begins

Uh yeah, no. It's an unwritten truth that Mark Hamill's Joker is the best Joker. Both Nicholson and Ledger did a great job on representing two different Joker's, Nicholson being a wacky ******* crazy Joker, and Ledger being the realistic, sadistic psycho Joker. But they both get trumped in comparison to the original, animated Mark Hamill Joker.

the funny thing is, had he not died after filming that film, he would have never won an oscar for that half arsed performance
User avatar #194 to #143 - iloveburzum (08/26/2013) [-]
Even if dying got him that oscar, its pushing it a bit to say half assed performance.

Its maybe not the joker you'd expect, but he clearly pushes it to the limit. There is no laziness there, not from him.

Which part was half arsed?

I'm judging affleck yet cause we haven't seen him, however i would have chosen karl urban. I am ecstatic though that bryan cranston in lex luthor!!!!

People hated Michael Keaton as Batman at first too, and he ended up being one of the best ones.

That argument isn't really valid.
Ledger was criticized for getting the role because his best known role at the time was Brokeback Mountain. People couldn't see how he could play a villain in batman.
Afleck is being criticized because he already played a similar superhero and sucked spectacularly at it. You can't say "give him a chance" when he's already had a chance and failed.
One argument is "He hasn't done it"
The other is "He's done it and sucked at it"

Heath was a one of a kind and is gone now. Benny simply isn't capable of pulling this one off.

Batman is a comic novel that many people have and will continue to make interpretations of, and i dont see the problem with that. Why do some people get so offended when someone else decided to make a new movie about it, its not like there can only be one good version. " **** YOU CHRISTOPHER NOLAN, TIM BURTON AND JACK NICHOLSON WERE GOOD ENOUGH WHY RUIN IT!?"
They did a great job with that movie, and so did christopher nolan, they are both very different from each other as well so why compare them? Cant they just admit both jack nicholson and heath ledger made fantastic jokers?
#218 - nakedclothes (08/26/2013) [-]
Yeah, I don't actually remember anyone complaining about Heath, so if there was it most likely to a much smaller degree than asslick. I can only assume this is because after the first batman film nobody gave a **** about the series

Pretty sure he won the oscar BECAUSE he died.

When I see Affleck as Batman I wont see Batman I wil lse Affleck, thats the problem. Usually you dont do that with superhero movies 'cos their faces are to known and you cant make the audince see for e.g Batman but rather the one who plays it. Ledger had been masked, unlike Affleck which will e but not all the time... Anne as catwoman was a disaster for me, she just blended in the movie like the guys in the back
User avatar #175 - ZeGerman (08/26/2013) [-]
Sooo, after this movie, Affleck will die?
#66 - anonymous (08/26/2013) [-]
To be honest, while Ledger's portrayal of The Joker was unique and dark, I didn't like it too much. It felt too dark, too terroristy, just too evil. Where was the comedy that the Joker has a part of in his schemes? Just because you're a crazy villain doesn't mean you need to go out and blow up a hospital.

Its not considered.... IT IS THE BEST.

The old hurp durp laughing gas, now Imma laugh for no reason joker is kinda meh....
