Personally, Bane was my favorite villain in the trilogy. But this man made for one hell of a Joker.

Ben Affleck as batman is more like George Clooney as batman.

Everyone knew it would suck, it sucked harder than everyone expected.

I wanna see a movie based off of something else where every single cast member is chosen by the fans - and then it's really really bad. Because fans aren't casting directors.

When I see Affleck as Batman I wont see Batman I wil lse Affleck, thats the problem. Usually you dont do that with superhero movies 'cos their faces are to known and you cant make the audince see for e.g Batman but rather the one who plays it. Ledger had been masked, unlike Affleck which will e but not all the time... Anne as catwoman was a disaster for me, she just blended in the movie like the guys in the back

since we're comparing every batman film in existance, i didnt like the 89 burton batman film. the joker had no motive, no plan, and really just came off as silly and non threatening. and while i love jack nicohlson, i felt he was just being jack, and didnt really have a character to act out.

I'm just pissed off because I heard they were looking for someone to play an older Batman.

Got my hopes up thinking it'd be a film based on the Dark Knight Returns or something.

That argument isn't really valid.
Ledger was criticized for getting the role because his best known role at the time was Brokeback Mountain. People couldn't see how he could play a villain in batman.
Afleck is being criticized because he already played a similar superhero and sucked spectacularly at it. You can't say "give him a chance" when he's already had a chance and failed.
One argument is "He hasn't done it"
The other is "He's done it and sucked at it"

Batman is a comic novel that many people have and will continue to make interpretations of, and i dont see the problem with that. Why do some people get so offended when someone else decided to make a new movie about it, its not like there can only be one good version. " **** YOU CHRISTOPHER NOLAN, TIM BURTON AND JACK NICHOLSON WERE GOOD ENOUGH WHY RUIN IT!?"
They did a great job with that movie, and so did christopher nolan, they are both very different from each other as well so why compare them? Cant they just admit both jack nicholson and heath ledger made fantastic jokers?

I'm guessing this post is pointed to the latest news of Ben Affleck being cast as the new Batman. To be honest, I'm not entirely enraged by it. Of course there are other actors I would consider. But look at Ben Affleck now, he might of been in comedy movies etc and doesn't seem like a good pick, but look at Argo. Won awards for his Directing etc. He seems to be taking it more seriously, and maybe bored of that comedy role. He was a ****** Daredevil, but I didn't expect too much from that film anyway. You can't blame him for that movie alone, blame the writting, and the directing too.

Now if you think of the reputation the Batman films have now, and good writers and director coming to the film, I can imagine Affleck actually being good in this film.

Now this post points out a great argument. People didn't think Ledger was a great choice, because of his previous films etc. And many think you should pick an actor with the right experience, and has a good reputation. But look at what he did for the Role. I'm sure Ben Affleck will do the same (though maybe not the same effect as Heath Ledger did, or Bale for that matter).
