this is my perspective:

ii don't mind gay couples or gay people as long; as they don't bring that **** to me i'll treat them with indifference

obviously i have more of a tolerance for lesbians BUT DON'T ACT LIKE YOU DON'T TOO!
User avatar #196 to #186 - frysfrys (08/23/2013) [-]
So, you like gay people, but you hate what they do? Get the **** out of here...
User avatar #199 to #196 - stefanolopcus (08/23/2013) [-]
when did i ever mention that i hate what gay people do you ignorant ************ ?

i specifically said "i don't mind" and "as long as they don't bring it to me"

the word "indifference" was thrown in there as well
User avatar #202 to #199 - frysfrys (08/23/2013) [-]
>bring that **** to me

Sounds a little like hate to me.

>I obviously have more of a tolerance for lesbians

That's contradictory and you're a hypocrite.

Why do people dislike when a straight couple makes out in public? We get arrested for **** the gay community is allowed to do openly. The only difference is that the gays have a feeling buffer that protects them from punishment. Their feelings get hurt, the hurter turns to a hater in everyone's eyes. He's saying that he has no problems with someone being gay, but being unsightly and acting like that gives you special privileges is something he dislikes.

Articulating thoughts better than the people who originally had them. Simply one more service I provide.

Very simple. Hating on gay guys but liking lesbian girls? There's nothing wrong with liking lesbians, especially if you are a straight guy, but you can't talk with your DICK by saying "OBVIOUSLY I have more of a tolerance for lesbians".

Well, it's just the fact that he goes "bring that **** to me".. What **** ? Oh you mean being hit on? They aren't ******* wild animals. You tell them you are straight, they'll go away.. You aren't going to be swarmed..
#302 to #230 - stefanolopcus (08/23/2013) [-]
"you tell them they're straight, they'll go away"

personally i know this isnt fully true, but mostly it is ill give that to you

secondly the picture we're commenting on right now shows that some gay people simply dont give a **** about what others think/feel

otherwise, you've overcomplicated this way too much:
User avatar #310 to #302 - frysfrys (08/23/2013) [-]
Your picture is unrelated. I am not butt hurt nor will I ever be. I embrace other people's ignorance because it makes me look smarter.

ok well let me clarify my pov to both of you

i dont have a problem with gay people. i have gay friends both male and female but that doesnt take away from the fact that im straight so if a gay man tries to hit on me whether verbally or physically im obviously going to have a problem with it

and also any straight man with tolerance to gays are gonna prefer seeing a lesbian couple over a gay male couple because even though it's still homosexuality it's alot more awkward to see a dude getting ****** in the ass than to see two girls going at it

tl;dr - the key word is still "indifferent." it doesnt matter to me what they want to do but if it's being brought into my personal life (ir. a gay man trying to push his penis in my ass) then that is when i have a problem

I don't mind gay people at all, I just don't like how I have to hear everyone complaining about it.
Like **** man, if your religion doesn't allow it then don't have sex with a man, your belief shouldn't affect other who don't believe in it. I believe in God and such but I'm not gonna go stone a homosexual just because their actions are something my religion doesn't support. Why? Because it's none of my ******* business.
So I would like it if everyone would stop just cry about this **** and let people **** and marry who they want. I don't care so I don't want to hear about Gay pride or Anti-Gay pride over the news everyday.
User avatar #188 to #170 - feedtehtrollz ONLINE (08/23/2013) [-]
I completely agree but the problem is that people won't just stop bitching about Gay pride or Anti-Gay pride until either one of them is the first to stop... and we all know how much people want to have the last word.

I appreciate BDSM culture and everything but even I think that it is a private sexual encounter and inappropriate in public. Also, being uncomfortable with BDSM is not a queer issue so don't worry about being considered homophobic.

I don't irrationally hate any sort of "group," but I generally do hate activists for said groups. Gay Parades , feminazis, etc. They just scream for attention and, i don't know if they realize it, but only garner more disrespect for their groups. Respect is earned, not demanded.
Passivity may not feel like you're doing much, but simply showing that you can be a respectable member of society will allow people, over time, to just get over what previous judgements they had.
I have happened upon a gay parade and they are fun as **** though.
User avatar #62 to #53 - Katzie (08/23/2013) [-]
I think what you've said only applies if people are being discriminated against, but retain the rights of a regular citizen. If there is an issue legally, doing jack **** isn't going to help.
User avatar #64 to #62 - quantumlegend ONLINE (08/23/2013) [-]
No I mean, of course it's in their rights to do so, and I don't have an active problem with that. I'm just saying that they should realize that it's not really helping out their own cause but more so hurting it because the extreme outward expression induces scorn from people.
User avatar #65 to #64 - Katzie (08/23/2013) [-]
The general public supports these movements. Maybe you me and the population of funnyjunk don't, but they get generally good support.
User avatar #68 to #65 - quantumlegend ONLINE (08/23/2013) [-]
I'm totally for gay rights, I'm just saying that the way to actually gain full rights, which they do not currently have, is to appeal to the people who do not support them. I mean it's great that so many people already do, but the people who don't probably just feel that the parades are just a big smack to their face.
User avatar #35 - sinonyx ONLINE (08/23/2013) [-]
it's not just gay people that do that

I wanted to beat the **** out of them, but you know how that would go down.

When I was 17, saw two men ass ******* in the alley, the hotel alley mind you.
