I don't mind special effects
but I hate it when a movie relies too much on them that it ignores/drowns the story.

I'd love to watch a film which was CG heavy without the CG. I think it would be interesting.

well, at lest i would prefer a blowjob from the avatar lady who doesn't use her "make up"

I think the first picture is scarier with Davy Jones.

This is somewhat unfair if you think about it. If there wasn't any quality, computerised effects, then the actors/actresses wouldn't be covered in sensors and standing in front of green-screens and look stupid like that, they would have make up and costumes/outfits made by top professionals and would ultimately still look quite good, like they did in the past. So yeah, I'd probably still watch the movies without the 'top' effects.

Game of Thrones would still be watchable.

The point of this post is saying "This is how dull movies would look without VFX artists"
I doubt they would use greenscreens if VFX artists werent around and would use practical effects
But it still shows how much VFX artists do

They are commonly referred to as plays

Except it wouldn't look like that.

If a movie isn't good without visual effects then it wasn't good to begin with. Watch Dogville and you'll understand.

I love watching behind the scenes stuff, so yeah I would totally watch a full movie with no special effects.

be cool to have the non-edited version in the special features or something

I just gained much more respect for actors/actresses

I didn't care for Avatar or Avengers, even with special effects.

Some people seem to hate special effects, well I say go back to watching plays, none of those cameras and other fancy stuff

Am I the only one who thinks it'd make for an awesome extra feature to have a version of the movie on Blu-Ray or whatever with all the special effects removed? Like just watch The Avengers, then right after watch Low-Budget Avengers with green screens and sound stages galore?
