It isn't 500000 years, it's supposed to be 2 centuries, and so in that time, when she gets out of aperture at the end of portal, it was okay, you could see that it wasn't taken over by the alien dudes (sorry, bad with the HL2 knowledge) then 2 centuries later, Half-Life 2 is going on because she wakes up and escapes and and and, what if in HL3 Gordon is going back to find the aperture labs for a reason and bumps into Chell AND WE SEE THEM TOGETHER OMG AND THEN THEY BOTH HAVE VERY LOUD SEX AT THE END SCREAMING EACH OTHERS NAMES AND TALKING AND LIKE RAINBOWS AND like. yeah

According to the book Raising the Bar, Valve's Ken Birdwell had a friend whose 12-year-old brother used to draw. Ken had always liked his work so he asked him, several years later, to do a couple of sketches of possible monsters. He presented sketches of several very sexual-oriented monsters to him and Gabe Newell, managing director, the kind of material Birdwell did not expect. Among them was this "Mr. Friendly", with something that looked like a penis. The creature was to literally "rape" the player, holding them with its tentacled arms until the point of fatal copulation. Birdwell was quite disturbed by the concept and wondered if Newell would like it; it turns out he did. They then chatted about possible psycho-sexual alien behaviors and their relation with disturbed teenager sexual fantasies. The sexual themes of some of the enemies were intended to appeal to the innate homophobia of 12 year old boys, the targeted audience for the game.

OP, got a bit of trivia for you.

On the Battlefield 3 DLC map, Death Valley, inside an open shipping crate high above the map suspended by a crane, a Mirror's Edge runner bag can be found, and I think you can hear the main theme music too a little bit.

I have the final hours of portal 2, and I don't remember it saying portal 2 was that far in the future, but I'm too lazy to fact check.

But didn't they already have a steady portal to Xen? That's why there's an entire research center in the game with creatures from Xen in purposeful containment? The experiment caused the portal to go nuts. If I'm correct, the sample was actually donated by the G-Man.

Yeah but with Portal 2 you can find the giant battle ship that gordon is going to aperture to find in the next half life game. And chell was released into the open so it's entirely likely Gordon will find her

In the Haloe 3 Beta If you got onto a mongoose and you have the 3rd person view someone can get behind you and you can position yourselfs so that you are looking straight through his visor. This was only possible in the Halo 3 beta, not the current version of halo 3.

I'm calling ******** on the 500,000 years between portal 1 and portal 2. Mainly because i looked online and didn't find anything to back this up. Specifically the Portal 2 wiki states that after a "considerable time" but doesn't specify any time frame. My theory is that it has only passed 20-50 years max, because the shed that she exits from has a sign that still has paint and is still legible. Not to mention that a wood shed wouldn't last 500,000 years.
