How the **** do people figure out that ****? Did Valve leak that information, or did some guy somewhere think to himself, "Hmm. You know... that's a pretty suspicious looking air duct. I should shoot it 25 times and then shoot the air duct adjacent to that, to make sure nothing happens. Just to be safe."

I know no one cares, but I'm going to say it anyway. I'm going to school for game development and in all of my projects I like to put easter eggs I know nobody will ever find. For example in my final project last year I made a simple zombie survival game and if you stood on this certain square and didn't move for 24 real time hours then you got 10x strength.

I find a lot of stuff like that just from going through the levels in noclip looking for such easter eggs, if you find something like a giant purple toad you're obviously going to try everything you can to get it to fall down.

Yeah, me too. If I'm bored or I'm replaying a game I'll go looking for easter eggs, and some are relatively easy to find. But the way you find some are absolutely ******* ridiculous. Some of them are like: Go here, shoot those seven things, go to these exact coordinates, shoot an RPG at the sun, and then get run over by a double decker bus. Who the **** would do that?! Who the **** would think to do that?! What the hell would give you any indication that something will happen if you do that!?

A lot of games release strategy books with special editions, or you can buy them separate for $20 or so, they are written by the devs and contain every easter egg, hidden treasure, spawn locations etc. it's pretty cool.

I never really bothered to look at those. With the cover promising all the tips and tricks to winning, hidden treasures and achievements, what's the fun of playing if you already know how to do everything?

I suppose if you're going for 100% completion in a large open world game, like GTA or RDR it is pretty useful.

Running around for hours in a massive map looking for a flower is pretty frustrating.

Why? I put them one by one in the comments so people could save them as reactionpics. turned out people called me a thumbwhore for this.

I'm honestly too lazy to update a rar. all the time. simply leaving another comment with the new one I would draw is just way easier. but fj doesn't want it.

(POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

If you've played Portal 2, at one point you hear Cave Johnson saying :"If I die before you people can pour me into a computer, I want Caroline(his wife) to run this place!."
Several sound files can also be found in the Portal files, consisting of Caroline, begging and insisting that she doesn't want something. Theres also an unused sound file called "dinosaur_fizzle" where you can hear a voice screaming "get me out of here", and when played backwards "is anyone there?"

Also, there's another theory about Chell being Cave and Caroline's child, with the evidence that GLaDOS in the Turret Opera(ending song of Portal 2) ,when translated to english, keeps referring the Chell as "my little girl", "dear child" and "darling baby".

Last, but not least, the cake is a lie.

Most of this is probably common knowledge, but I just thought I'd share it anyways.

actually, caroline was cave johnsons right had man (or woman as the case may be).
As cave johnson was dying of his unforseeable moon rock poisoning he demanded that his scientists work on a was to put his ai into a computer so he could live as a computer.

Dying before the project was completed he demanded before his death that if he were to die before the technology was created that Caroline would be turned ai whether she liked it or not. This said when glados was created they put a caroline file into GlaDos so she could live on.
(and at the end of portal 2 GlaDos deletes the file where Caroline was, killing her off)
