Hurr Durr football's a pussy sport, generic hockey/american football player played on with a horrific injury, Bert Trautmann played, in goal, with a broken neck. I understand that was how football was and not is but people still get pretty seriously hurt every now and then

I'm not so sure about the validity of the source of the article about the soccer injuries, But everyone of the worst injuries from soccer have a similar story in either hockey or football (or both).
But in all honesty, you really can't compare the sports. Soccer is more of a finesse game, whereabouts hockey (at least before all the ******** rule changes) and football are sports based off strength.

As a former soccer and hockey coach I can agree with this totally!! I've had players in hockey that would break a bone and wouldn't tell me so they could play through the playoffs and that was just 13 year olds. On the other hand I've had soccer players say they can't play because they have a hang nail.

i'm pretty certain football players exaggerate their injuries for a tactical advantage, not just because they're little pansies

That only happens when they're not actually injured, when they are, they're usualy very calm.
Maybe it's because in hockey you don't get a ******* reward for conceiving a foul you asshat.
